We had an unexpected stop at Well Hung vineyards and let me tell you IT WAS AMAZING!!!! From the atmosphere, the food, the wine selection, the fun name, & the customer service is what an establishment should be about. They get it! Ashley was attentive and on top of her game. But the highlight was Ross who was the most accommodating, knowledgeable, and fun general manager whom we have ever met! He took the time to explain every wine, answer all our questions, and talked to us about the wine club. He gave excellent recommendations! So grateful that we stopped by Well Hunt Vineyards!!

Food was delicious and wine was great !!! Cori was a very attentive and professional person and a pleasure to hear her talking about wines to the point we joined the wine Club !

We do this trip to Gordonsville twice a year and since we found The WellHung this is our place to go for dinner and it never disappoints!

We did a random walk in, drawn in by the interesting martini flight. We were NOT disappointed! Blaine not only served up a flight of two super interesting martinis and two stellar popular martinis, but gave us the Southern hospitality that made us feel more than welcome. The Salt and Vinegar martini is one to talk about! Not a common find and certainly one to go back for…. So creative. The espresso martini? Definitely a “go back for” and better than the otherwise “best espresso martini” advertised at another local joint. We didn’t try the food here but it will just give us a reason to go back and check out their extensive menu!

Enjoyed a tasty and peaceful dinner outside with lovely service and a pleasant wine selection. I had never experienced a wine slushee but we were given samples to try and it hit the spot for a warm spring day.

Holy CRUD so good!!!

Husband and I are not big drinkers, but we have been passing by this place for a decade without going in. After today, I have so many regrets for not doing that!!

We were greeted very warmly and were able to get a nice table in the inside, our server and other staff were VERY attentive (without being too much so, lol). We even asked someone who wasn’t our server to try a wine sample, and the sample showed up within 2 minutes from another wine steward, I swear. Shows great communication between the staff members.

We both got the short ribs and I was very impressed. The portion was super plentiful without being so heavy that you don’t want to move, lol. Plus the pricing of it was super reasonable and inexpensive, in my opinion.

Holy cannoli those short ribs. I was expecting the food to be ok, since it’s a winery place (like ordering a pork chop at a fish restaurant if you get my meaning), but omg was I wrong. The taste was perfect, and the flavors on the plate were well composed and considered. And I mean- the short ribs did that amazing thing that pot roast does when you get these strands/shards of roasted beef, which is something that my short ribs never do. It’s so nice and so comforting.

Will absolutely return again!!

The wine names and the atmosphere are very nice with play on words. Service was good but unfortunately the wine did not deliver. All 4 different flights we had the wine was almost undrinkable. Poor flavors, either too sweet or too watered down. Only one that was decent was petit Verdot reserve.

Spectacular burger. The waffle was perfection and the sweet bacon jam with the burger is so good. Stuffed french toast was also good.
