Received our first Black Angus cow from Black Rock Farm last weekend and we are very pleased! Wow is this meat tender and flavorful. They schedule a date for the butcher and let you know when it will be ready so you can plan accordingly. They were very easy to deal with and MaryJane will answer all your questions and help you with completing the butcher order form for how you want the cow butchered. I have previously purchased cows from two other farms and although I was pleased with my prior purchases, I must say Black Rock Farms meat is far superior. I highly recommend them.

Mary Jane at Black Rock farm, is so knowledgeable, friendly, she walks you through the entire beef butchering pricing process. She starts with the cut sheet for the butcher, makes sure you know exactly what you are getting and how to prepare it for many delicious meals! My beef will be ready May 10th, and I'll update once we have it.

MaryJane and Greg are hardworking farmers that raise the best beef that we’ve ever tasted. They made it so easy to buy and freeze a half beef recently, MaryJane helped us all along the way from filling out the cut sheet to get the cuts that we needed, to arranging the butchering and freezing, to actually suggesting cooking advice and recipes when I asked for advice. These are good people and they provide a great product.

Our first purchase from Black Rock Farms was a half of a cow, the beef was high quality, melt in your mouth tender, and rich in flavor. We swore we would never buy meat again from any big retail store. Since then we've purchased a whole cow and have enjoyed each bite we take. We have purchased our beef from Mary Jane several times now and are never disappointed. The first time we purchased, she explained how to fill out the cut sheet and what everything meant. When I wasn’t sure how to use a particular cut of meat, she gave me recipes. I can’t imagine buying store beef again. Oh, and she even uses the nicest/great meat processor.
