Love this plant nursery.
Great plant material, large variety of selection, very helpful staff and good price point.
Plus it is a very nice place just to visit and walk around.
About 25 acres of property I believe.
Relatively easy to get to off Hudson Avenue as well.

Reaching out to let others know of a very kind employee named Sylvia who assisted me during my first visit to the Canterbury Nursery. After leaving the Pasco Landfill, I saw this place and figured I’d give it a try. I’m not at all a flower planting person. With high anxiety, I have a very hard time making decisions. Sylvia went above and beyond to help me select appropriate flowers for my particular situation. She was extremely positive and supportive. Sylvia explained how to plant the flowers and what soil to use as well as helped me carry/load them to my car. Just check out the photo of how this old sentimental burn pit got turned into a beautiful porch planter filled with flowers. Might even keep future mosquitoes away. 😜. Thank you so much Canterbury Farms for having Sylvia as an employee. Sylvia is truly a special person!

We drove over an hour to get there, thinking we knew exactly what we needed and that they carried several in stock. We got in the golf cart with an expert who would take us where we said we wanted to go. By the time we reached the Red Cedars, we had answered several questions and began to realize Red Cedars wouldn't be the best choice for our home at the mouth of the Anclote River and the gulf. Lots of salt exposure.

After her expert questioning and explanation, we left with Wax Myrtles and a much better understanding of our environment and the right plantings. That is priceless and we will return for more helpful selection counsel.

This nursery is an experience in itself. I could go on and on on how large this location is. You can stay here for hours. Full of variety and the merchandise inside and around the house are so beautiful and unique. This location also offers the hostings of parties as well as hosts events such as farmers market. If I could give Canterbury 10 stars I would. We just redesigned our entire front landscaping. I've been trying to find someone to assist with this task for a few years now. However, I was never happy with the result. Kate was so patient in assisting with the design. The install team was very respectful of our property. Everyone worked so hard to make my vision a reality. I am over the moon happy with the result. Thank you to the entire Canterbury team for a job well done. Canterbury Farms has always been a wealth of wonderful gardening supplies, plants, trees, and shrubs. I find them to be a lot more helpful than the bigger box stores. You know the orange one in the blue one and their prices are a lot better. I have no complaints about Canterbury Farms and nursery and garden center. I would give them a five star review as they are very nice people. The employees are very helpful and knowledgeable and the place is always clean. You don’t see any weeds growing or you don’t see any dead plants growing anywhere they put out the best and make your visit very informative as well as enjoyable. But my complaint or my dissatisfaction on today’s visit which is Saturday they have a monthly farmers market with vendors of all kinds selling different wears. My main interest in going there today was because it was advertised. There would be homegrown fruits and vegetables or seasonal vegetables for sale. They opened up at 10 o’clock, but there was no fruits or vegetables for sale and there was only maybe a half a dozen vendors. I was very disappointed and I had asked someone when the fruits and vegetables vendor would arrive and I was told, well, she has another hour to get here, but I don’t know if she’s coming today. That was very disappointing and I was looking forward to purchasing a great deal of fruits and vegetables. So as far as Canterbury Farms goes, I would give them five stars, but for the hype of their farmers market and vendors and advertising of fruits and vegetables. I really would have to give them a two.
