We tried out the Sandbar after a day at the beach and were not disappointed! Parking is easy with Valet parking available and we had a great table outside with a great view. Our server Becca was prompt, friendly and helpful as we ordered the smoked fish dip appetizer and calamari. Our entrees were the grouper main, grouper sandwich, chicken tacos and a lobster roll. All were delicious! Highly recommended!

One of the most memorable events of our trip down to Anna Maria with our friends! About three years ago, we came to the spot for dinner and had a great time, but I have to say, the lunch experience has been our best! Annie brought us to our table - lovely lady! Our server, Danny, was great and totally entertained us while giving us fantastic service. Cheers to you - and always remember, Frankenstein is waiting for you in Lake George NY!

Even while buying some merch, the staff was so friendly and appreciate.

Our food was fantastic… And the drinks! We really had a great time and enjoyed it so much that we came back for piña colada‘s the next day from the to-go window.

Such great food and location. Recommend getting here early to put a name in for a table, it gets super busy! But we usually just grab a drink and sit out on the Adirondack chairs to look at the ocean and watch the sunset while we wait. The food is really great, the best we’ve had on the island so far. The octopus is delicious. We also loved the clams and the crab risotto.

They have valet parking which is so appreciated given the lack of parking in the area

Great location, Great service with Kaitlyn and our food was just okay. We started with the crab cakes. Excellent taste and plenty of crab. The mango salsa on top was perfect. I tried the Crab and Lobster Rissoto. Not much crab (very small amount of shredded crab) and just a few very small pieces of lobster. Not worth the price. My wife tried the grouper and it was good, but too much breading. Beachfront views were perfect.

This restaurant is lively and bustling, and we are here to savor a delightful seafood dinner while enjoying a stunning sunset in perfect harmony. The dinner was excellent, featuring cowboy shrimp 🦐 and grouper beachside—truly outstanding!

This is the definition of upscale casual beach dining. Mix of folks in flip slops and fancy dresses and everyone’s enjoying themselves. No reservations so come early and get your name on the list. Love that we could get a drink and play cornhole in the sand while waiting.

Delicious beverages and meals with a focus on local seafood delicacies. The French rose was fantastic and the price for a bottle was surprisingly reasonable able.

Peel and eat shrimp well cooked and presented on a fun ice tray. We got two blackened fish dishes - the red snapper and the grouper. Both were tasty but the sides were meh. Super soft green beans which needed more seasoning. Fish could have used more blackening spice but was tasty. The burger was the standout for sure. No gluten free bun but the do offer a lettuce wrap for the burger. So much lettuce that it’s actually almost a salad particularly with the amazing onions and bacon. Burger cooked to perfection and a huge 1/2 pound patty. Fries were unreal - super soft. We also got the key lime pie which was gone before I could take a photo. Yum.

The Sandbar is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a stunning beachfront dining experience. A beloved staple of the Bradenton area, it’s one of my favorite spots to bring guests for a picture-perfect sunset over the water. Few views compare to sipping a glass of wine or a handcrafted beachfront cocktail while sharing a delicious meal with family and friends.

The menu centers around fresh, flavorful seafood, complemented by a selection of tropical, refreshing beverages that elevate the experience.

During my visit, I spotted a neighboring guest order the buffalo chicken sandwich. I had my heart set on a fresh grouper sandwich, so I asked our outstanding server, Eddie, if the kitchen could prepare it buffalo-style instead. They happily obliged—and it was absolutely delicious.

If you’re ever looking to experience one of the most scenic spots along the Florida coast while enjoying a refreshing drink and a great meal, The Sandbar is a fantastic choice.

I had a wonderful experience at the Sandbar Restaurant! It operates on a walk-in basis, so be sure to put your name on the list when you arrive. This restaurant is located right on the beach, and there are plenty of activities to enjoy while you wait. You can relax in Adirondack chairs, play some cornhole, dig your toes into the sand, take in the beautiful views, and listen to live music.

The Cowboy Shrimp is absolutely delicious, and they serve a generous portion! Don't miss out on the Chocolate Cake; it's quite tasty as well.

Please note that only valet parking is available. The restaurant is also kid-friendly, so it's a great spot for families. For the best views, try to get a seat on the patio.
