Every time I’ve been here in person, the product and the people were amazing. But yesterday, I called to inquire about getting some beef fat to make beef tallow, which my wife and I sell at our small business. I asked if they would be able to just give me the white, hard fat. The response was not simply a “no, I’m sorry”. The man on the phone instead said, “We’re not going to do that! You can either take the fat as is, or not at all!” He was an absolute jerk. I apologized for upsetting him for whatever I said that angered him. He has 0 customer service skills. This business would do best to fire home, or at least don’t have him work with customers. My wife and I found another butcher shop to source our beef fat from.

GameChanger..... best burger ever Rib Eye's,.... WARNING...Dont bother with overpriced wagu...Get the thick cut Boneless. Take'm off a couple minutes early, AMAZING !!!!!...Breakfast sausage... Tryem all. It's hard to pick a favorite. CHICKEN, is still just chicken. Try Boneless pork chops. Hot sier slow cook. They were great. I have purchased so much here and have never been disappointed. Not just recommend A Must.. Enjoy.

First timer, stopped in to check it out finally. Was uncomfortable to be honest. I wanted to browse a bit to see prices and quality but felt rushed as a young kid behind the counter kept staring as if I was not being fast enough. Then as I made my way down the display an older man said “you getting anything?” which made me feel even more rushed. All eyes just staring at you as if we gotta hurry up or know what you want when you get in and get out feeling. As someone who prefers quality in the meats as I smoke a lot of meats I wanted to take my time, but I didn’t get a welcoming feeling. I still got a few items as the young lady behind the counter came to assist and was helpful and kind to us, she didn’t make us feel rushed and answered our questions promptly. May try again down the road if the meat selection I got is good quality, but I’ll be quicker next time and if the young lady is working as well.

Honestly, after trying lots of different meats here.....the plain ground beef is really the only thing that's good. The gamechanger ground beef tastes.....off....tried it 3 times over 5 years coming here and something just isn't right. I've made my own "gamechanger" blend of brisket/rib/beef and was way jucier and tastier than what this place is selling for a fraction of their cost. The steaks are far superior at costco and far cheaper. Never had 1 good steak here at all...not once on any cut or type. For the price they're charging, it's much higher than a choice cut at costco while being at or less than a choice cut quality wise. The ground beef used to be cheap but with all these price increases now, it's gotten too much. The quarter pound hot dogs taste really great, but the packages they put them in are never sealed right and they don't last long as well as the casing they use to make them in is VERY tough and is the big letdown on them and dont get me started on their foot long buns which are dried out and bland. The freezers are JAMMED PACKED full of seafood and meat where a good solid 70% are freeze damaged where you can see the packages are not sealed correctly. Yet they're asking $$$$$$$ for them. Sadly Arizona doesn't know deli's or butcher shops as the quality of both is just poor. Horrible food out here in the 38 years I've been here. Not sure if I'll ever be back here unless somehow the pricing adjusts accordingly to the quality. There's just nothing here that makes me want to come in for.

Great family owned local butcher shop with terrific service. They have a wide array of meats, including lamb, bison, venicen and carry other local prepared foods like ceviche, spices, rubs etc. Very impressed with this place

Ordered short ribs picked up 7-8 of them was told they would feed at least 5 to 6 people. They were the most disappointing ribs. There was no meat. A quarter of it was fat that was removed after they were cooked and a pressure cooker after spending $17 a pound what a rip off. Those 7 to 8 short ribs cost almost $80. Very disappointed will not be back.

Off the Hook is a fantastic butcher shop with an incredibly wide array of fresh and frozen meat products. Mind you, they aren't cheap if you're used to grocery store prices, but this is a place where you are genuinely buying quality. This shop has only been open a few months, and it has become our go-to for special occasion meat purchases.

They keep their website up-to-date with specials and upcoming showcases (so many places don't do that these days!), and I also follow them on Facebook to get the latest news.

We found the awesome market by chance and stopped in. I normally buy my meats from Omaha Steak and seafood from Costco. I will now be buying from this place! I was quiet impressed with all the different variety of meats, sausages, chicken, and seafood! They have a great assortments of sauces, seasonings, and butters. They also have pre-made dinner items that looked delicious. I bought our dogs fresh ground duck meat and they love it! I also got some huge lobster tails, blue cheese butter and garlic butter to use on our steaks! Spent around $140 which was awesome for the quality of every item. This place is our new favorite shop! We will be back as I'd rather spend my money locally to support this business instead of online!
