After seeing all the reviews, some I felt were unusually cruel to a new restaurant. I decided to see it for myself. So we had a 20 min wait for the table. The waitress was awesome. Let us know right away what was not available. Sorry no Gator Bites. We all ordered and got our food right away. The food was great, wish there were 2pieces of catfish otherwise it was great. Took some Hot Bineits home with us

Went with my husband on our anniversary. The owner was great checking in on us making sure everything was good. For appetizers we got the voodoo swirls & the gator bites. Both were definitely a 10/10. I will go back just for those.
For our entree I got the pastayla with chicken. The chicken was juicy and good, but the pasta was a little greasier than I could handle. 7/10
My husband got the catfish po boy with Mac & cheese. The catfish was a little under seasoned but we season a ton so it might be perfect for someone else! 8/10.
Overall it was a good experience! Be mindful they just opened up and are still working out some kinks but we will definitely be returning.

It was great! I got the shrimp and grits and it was some of the best I have ever had, the Zombie bread was amazing! So glad we decided to try it! I live 1/2 a hour away and would drive back again. It was worth the trip!

All right, are you all ready for story time?

So, me the Word Witch are on our way to Pensacola for a funeral, and since there was lightning on the horizon we decided to stop for the night to crash and get some food.

We cruised along after getting off the interstate, just looking to see what's available and lo and behold was this unmarked little building that looked like it might have been a hole in the wall Diner.

Buddy let me tell you what...

Not only was this a great hole in the wall Diner place to get grub, the staff, (Haley especially) and the owners (TJ & Breezy) are awesome, they have a great attitude. The food is a whole other level of freaking amazing.

I ended up with the Cajun Burger, fried okra and, jambalaya while the wife had the Swiss mushroom burger, plus we snagged some gator bites on the side. The food was absolutely awesome. Nothing bad at all to say.

But I will say one thing about the Cajun Burger, if you want a damn good burger that will fill you up and leave you fat boy happy, this is the one you want.

The wife said that the mushroom and Swiss burger was also freaking great.

Thry mentioned having a crawdad boil every Saturday while they are in season, so I'm planning a trip back down just for the mudbugs.

And something extra special to this joint are the pickle shots, ask them about it when you stop in.

We were really looking forward to trying this place, but it was an absolute letdown. First off, they were out of all the Cajun staples—no gumbo, no soups, no jambalaya. That should’ve been a red flag, but we stayed.

Service was painfully slow; it took 10 minutes just to get our drinks. They messed up one of our salads, and my Caesar salad wasn’t even made with romaine. When our food finally arrived, it was mostly cold. My salmon was ridiculously small (maybe 2 ounces at best) and completely cold, as was the rice. My husband’s mac and cheese? Cold. The grits? Cold and hard. The chicken tenders were fresh out of the fryer but so salty they tasted like ocean water. The only decent thing was the fries, but even they were cold.

To top it all off, the price was outrageous. We spent $60 for two people on a meal that was barely edible.

These people have a passion for food, and the proof is in the food. I can’t recommend this place enough. Traveled just over 30 mins to try and was not disappointed. Owners are great people who care about the communities they serve.

My friend & I came here yesterday around 12:30ish. Greeted by a friendly hostess and were seated immediately. Sweet Hannah was our server. I got a small house salad and sweet tea, both were very good. We shared an order of gator bites, ( well, I ate the majority because my friend found them a lil too salty but they weren't to me) We also shared an order of beignets which I enjoyed very much..melt in your mouth

We have been to the Dive 3 times. The servers are always very nice. The food has been delicious! We had the steak, cheeseburger and chicken Alfredo . The fried okra is really tasty. Each time is better and better.Any new business has its hurdles but they are working hard to make positive changes. . We will be back!
