I'll start this by saying that I do not have a green thumb. I have even killed bamboo, which my dad said was quite an impressive feat! But there's something about being around plants that makes me happy. My mom has the most beautiful garden, so when she came to Chico to visit me, I thought she'd love the Plant Barn. It turns out, we both did! I appreciated the welcoming employees, but they also didn't hover. We were able to stroll the property, and admire all of the beautiful plants. It was really peaceful. Although I didn't buy anything, I spotted a few things in the gift shop that will likely bring me back. I've heard that they host classes - wreath making, flower arrangements, etc. - and I would definitely sign up for something like that!

Best one I’ve been to so far in Chico. Just a huge selection of beautiful well taken care of plants. I would definitely recommend asking them to show you where the house plants are or the garden house is. You’d walk by it without noticing. Very friendly and extremely helpful staff. Ended up going back the same day and getting more plants. Definitely will be back again and again. Even if you’re not in the market for some plants, it’s beautiful just to walk through and they have a great gift shop.

I have loved Plant Barn for years, it has my favorite collection of indoor plants around. Unfortunately, it seems like they have closed off more than half of their indoor greenhouse to their customers. Walking around that space and admiring the mother plants is so special and has taught me a lot. Please consider reopening your entire greenhouse!

I visited plant barn because of a mother's day gift certificate I'd been given. This was my first visit but it certainly won't be my last. The plant nursery was huge! It looks small from the outside but it's a two acre property full of variety. It has an inviting aesthetic along with friendly and knowledgeable staff. One of the employees gave me some great information on privacy hedge varieties (which I included pictures of) that I will definitely be returning to purchase. I also bought a cute little button fern with my mother's day gift certificate 🙂

I went to this nursery today and was utterly impressed. This local nursery is much larger than it appears from the outside and is filled with natural beauty. The staff was amazing, both helpful and knowledgeable. The plants and scenery there make you feel like your in a fairy garden, so lovely.

I went there Tuesday for the first time and I am blown away! The customer service is above and beyond, I haven't had that kind of friendly, cheerful, and willing to help service since I moved from the South. These people have a kindness to them that is rare these days!
The property was beautiful and I was given a tour to the greenhouse to select the house plants I wanted. They have such a huge selection of exceptional quality plants I could have spent my entire paycheck if I didn't have a little self control. This place seems out of the way if you live in Chico, but it's really not! Take the short drive and check them out!
