Food was fantastic, I had the sampler plate of the day. 9.5 on the chicken 8.5 on the pork and 8 on the steak and pasta. Everything was great. We met the owners and were able to talk for a few minutes. 5.5 hours round trip including dinner and well worth it. Plan to return and bring others with us. Check menu offerings before going to make sure it fits for your needs. Two thumbs up even if Rob Kendall recommended it.😀

This is by far the best restaurant in Brazil, Indiana! While the hours and menu are a bit limited compared to an average restaurant, once you go, you won’t be disappointed. Our first visit was for Father’s Day lunch and boy were we impressed. The service was prompt, the food was outstanding and in huge quantities, and the view was gorgeous. The small details were appreciated too (honeybee napkin ring and honeybee themed coffee mug). The staff was warm and friendly and I couldn’t believe the price… very reasonable.

Outside you can walk down to the water and take a turn on the tree swing. We will be bringing any out of town guests here in the future.

This is one of the coolest places we have ever eaten! If you want a delicious home cooked meal in a friendly, quaint atmosphere this is the place for you! The food was phenomenal-simple but very flavorful. We were passing through but I wish we had a place like this at home! The most interesting thing is they have a different menu every week and have the option of doing a sample plate of main dish and dessert items so you can try everything! If you go you absolutely must try the grape tea! It was amazing! I am definitely bookmarking this place for the future in case we ever happen to be passing back through Brazil, Indiana because we absolutely want to go back if we're in the area.

It was a quaint little place. It took the young girl taking our orders quite some time to bring the bread and butter to our table and my sister and I asked for sweetener 3 times before the girl remembered to bring some. I didn't get any starter but my sister, her husband and my husband got the broccoli cheddar soup. They all said it tasted burnt, like the pot they made it in was old and burnt. I tasted it and I'm glad I didn't order it. We all the "the bites" entree. The food was ok, but the chicken tasted straight up like dressing, you could barely taste the chicken. The steak was pretty good and tender. The potato casserole and creamed corn was good. It took a while to get our desserts and when the girl brought them she sat them on the table next to ours and walked away to get take home containers. My sisters husband went ahead and grabbed our dessert plates. The cake was good, I loved the icing. The custard pie was a bit to be desired. It might be neat to go back and sit at the outside tables, they also have different menus every week.

Great food, great family & staff! Three generations...my daughter, granddaughter and I all loved it here! It is so cute! We started with the same appetizer...spinach sausage soup and it was stock full of yummy ingredients! We each followed with the "Bites Plate" (which is several bites of each entree) which for us included chicken, prime rib and salmon $14.99. Every entree was delish!
We also chose two sides, which I had delicious green beans and tasty mashed potatoes. My daughter had the carrots as one side and loved them too. I loved it all, though my only complaint was the salmon skin was a little too salty.
We loved the Grape Spiced Tea too! Enough to buy a cute jug full!
We shared the dessert bite plate of 5 desserts...every one yummy! The white wedding cake and red velvet cheesecake were phenomenal, the "practice" apple pie was perfection (think they need to change the name 😉) beehive cake was delicious and peanutbutter pie great too, but very rich.
Cutest gift shop upstairs too! Only wish they were open more often! Be sure to check their hours before you head to this must visit restaurant! We will definitely be back, even though its an hour drive!!!

Wonderful place for a quick getaway out of town! Went there for dinner for the first time. Nice quiet and cozy atmosphere. Ordering was fun by picking things on your menu card. The food was amazing! The grape tea was unusual but really yummy. And the chocolate torte is a must to try, even if you have to take it home for later. (Dont pass it up, get it boxed to go if you're full.) We will definitely return!
