There's not a whole lot I can add to this amazing place - but I haven't seen too many reviews or photos of the kid area, so I thought I'd share about that 🙂

Tucked next to the art class room, but before the restroom area, is a 10x10 open space, with comfortable sofas and toys, games, and books! This is a great little nook for siblings who might not be interested in the class, or a quiet spot for nursing mothers. Safe for babies - with age appropriate toys for multi ages (I'd say toys up to age 8, some of the games, maybe age 12). They even have the outlets covered.

**It's unsupervised, and not enclosed, and certainly not meant as a drop off space** But we've used it twice, and it was a nice, clean, little spot after class 🙂

Wonderful class variety and tons of teachers to find the one that will help you understand and support you through your creative struggles. I've done both pottery and watercolor classes, and am now a member and taking a wheel throwing class soon.

I'm so grateful to have a resource like this in EP! Open studio is definitely worth it, and my kids have really enjoyed camps and classes here.

The EP Art Center lost my daughter's pottery and glasswork in 2 different classes. I want to love this place because my daughter has loved the classwork and the instructors, yet she ends up in tears when her work is lost. There has to be a better way to keep track of the artist's pieces. At a minimum, each child should take a picture of their piece before they send it to the kiln - at least then your child can attempt to manage it.

Edited 6/30: once I wrote the review and sent an email, the EP Art Center's was extremely diligent in their communication and resolution process. I'm guessing they had to reach out to another artist to retrieve and confirm the mixup and they had that done within 24 hours. Their follow through was great.

I feel it's unsafe to have an instructor alone with young children at night with NO staff in the building. Almost all programs with kids require at least 2 people to be on site.
