Absolutely the best, authentic, tasty and delicious oxtails tails I've ever had. Ms. P was ready to close but didn't hesitate to cook my order. The service was superb, the restaurant was spotless, and the music was jumping! I'm in town for a rotary convention and will make Ms. P's a must have every year that I return.

I had lunch here on a recent impromptu road-trip to Tennessee on 2nd date. The food here was delicious to say the least. I loved the space and the customer service was awesome. Will look forward to a return anytime in Chattanooga again.

I can tell you that the rice was cooked. The oxtail and goat meat were tender and delicious. The ripe plantains were like they’re supposed to be, a bit “greasy” because anyone who knows plantains know they absorb a lot of oil. And anyone who knows about ripe fried plantains know that when they’re out too long they droop or start looking and tasting dry. Not these.

The price of the oxtail and rice and beans was decent. As a matter of FACT, it’s so decent that she could go up to $25 like in Atlanta. A pound of oxtail ranges between $16-$20. The goat was priced alright only because it sort of makes up for the oxtail.

The woman who took my order was pleasant and the music gave the atmosphere a good vibe. The establishment could be a bit more visually inviting in terms of decor, but I took the “shack” in the name to mean just that, it’s a shack. I didn’t mind it because I ordered to go.

I read some of the reviews and could help but laugh at the response. I don’t blame her. People are used to trashing establishments and the owner or staff politely apologize, and sometimes without a reason. So power to her for defending her establishment. I particularly liked the review of the video when a customer alleged no mask wearing. Two 👍.

The cashier was pleasant. I order the oxtail plate with rice, beans, and mac and cheese. The food is so bland. The oxtail were overly cooked. This cant be real jamacian food. I should've paid more attention to the reviews. Do not come here for oxtail, you will be disappointed.

I can't even finish my meal right now, I had to come and write my review first and try and not cuss. Holy crap, this is the BEST, most authentic tasting Jamaican food I have had in soooo long. You cannot find authentic flavors around here (in restaurants anyways). I live less than a mile away and just now realized this place is here. Door Dash recommended it and I had to try it. I read the reviews and see how people are in some of them...anyways.... If you want this type of flavor you at least have to drive to Atlanta. I havent had anything like this around here. The Jerk Chicken is absolutely fall off the bone tender, the flavor is booming. The callou, omg... I always put hot sauce on my callou, I ate that whole thing without a dash of it, the flavors are just amazing, it doesn't need it. Macaroni is great. The beef patty, I love beef patties, so flaky, so good- flavorful. You ABSOLUTELY have a new customer and I am extremely excited to try the Ox Tail now! Thank you for this delicious meal!

Spent $70 on a disappointing meal. The rice and peas were bland, the jerk chicken lacked spice and was mostly bone, and I didn’t get the cabbage I ordered—but still got charged for it. The plantains were so overripe they were nearly spoiled.

To top it off, there was no bathroom available for customers. SMH.

Poor customer service, nasty food and an absolutely waste of money. No flavor this is not authentic Jamaican food don’t waste your time or money.

There are two Jamaican spots in Chattanooga. I have to say although I like both Ms P’s to me is better. Seems just a bit more flavor and bigger portions than the other spot. Plus the to go plates are bigger. This matters to us fat boys 🤪

I have been debating if I wanted to try this place because of the mixed reviews & I didn’t see any recent reviews so I decided to try myself. I am so glad I did because it was good! I had been craving good Jamaican food & that is what I got!
