One of a kind nursery and horticultural garden that allows you to go on unguided tours or make appointments for guided tours through their 5 to 6 acres of naturally landscaped Azaleas, Rhododendrons, Magnolias, Maples, Hydrangeas and many other species of plants.

This should be on your short list of things to do in and around Sebastopol! A truly hidden gem, this is a place to wander. There are varieties of rhododendrons that probably exist nowhere else, due to the amazing history of the original and second owner. And nearly every one of the thousands of Rhodies, Azaleas and more is for sale! You can walk through nearly seven acres of peaceful, beautiful beauty. The current owner, Michael, is passionate about preserving this lovely spot. Please visit and enjoy, and help keep this very unique place of tranquility and beauty.

If you are in the Sebastopol area, this nursery is a must to visit, even if you're not in the market for garden plants. The 8-acre domain has 1.5 miles of trails. It changed ownership about a year ago, and the new owner, Mike Boss, became the steward of one of the largest rhododendron collection in California. You'll enjoy docent-led garden tours, forest multisensory experiences and gardening classes. It takes a lot of work to maintain such a large nursery, so some of the areas could use a little sprucing up, but it adds to the wildness of the place. I found out about it from the Sonoma County Gazette, where it was listed as the Hidden Valley Nursery.

This place is a Sonoma County Gem. We used to come here with our family when I was a kid, in the 1990's. I always thought it was a magical place, like we were stepping into a land lush with plants, flowers, leaves bigger than your arm, petals of every color littering the ground, and meandering paths. We would pack a picnic lunch and stop in a shady gazebo for a peaceful family outing. We visited again today for the first time in 25 years, and brought our own kids back. While the plants were bigger, much of our favorite features were still there. The New owner was very friendly, and told us it had been around for about 55 years, and that he hoped to preserve it for future generations. We hope so!

Great assortment of plants to purchase; however, the real treat is touring the gardens. Wear comfortable shoes and explore. If you want to see trees and flowers in a natural setting Sonoma Horticulture Nursery is the place to visit.

Stunning selection of Rhododendrens and Azaleas. Sadly the property is for sale but hopefully the new owners will keep it the combination of park and amazing nursery it is now.

I recently visited the nursery and it was a fantastic experience. A large selection of very hard to find plants that I have been looking for for years. The staff was incredibly helpful and took me to what I was looking for. The garden in the back is beautifully forested to create a natural landscaped setting. The owner Mike was also happy to chat and showed us his new projects for the nursery. Excellent place and I look forward to heading back soon.

Not just a nursery but an absolutely magical place to get lost in. 7 acres of hidden trails, countless flowers, and beautiful water features. Think you have too much shade on your property to have a beautiful and thriving garden? Think again. Bring your friends -- it's a botanical garden, a nursery, and a wonderfully secluded park all in one. And only seven minutes out of downtown sebastopol! Also the plant selection is phenomenal and the owner, Mike Boss, an exceedingly kind and knowledgeable soul.
