Fantastic experience from top to bottom doing Rifle2 guided hunt w/ SJO. Dusty, Brian, and Jake were fantastic guides and worked extremely hard for us. Sara was the horse wrangler and cooked some extremely great meals for us. Mary handled all the coordination/booking/etc. and was great to work with. Lastly, there was a guy named Justin i believe, who helped us bring in horses and set up camp, I think he worked with the head Wrangler, Chad or something.

October 2018 / 2nd season guided hunt, OTC Licences-Public Land. 6 hunters in camp, 5 Bull Elk kills, Justin, Jessie, and the rest of the guides and wranglers were 100% HUNT and worked hard to make our trip a success. We all had a Great time, Great Horses and tack. Great cook- good food. AAA+++ all the way round. Fantastic Hunt!!!

Had five hunters in a drop camp for 2nd season a year and the camp hands were great however we couldn’t get more than 500 plus yards out of camp befor running into other drop camp hunters from SJO. The area had way to many hunters in it and the elk had been pushed out. SJO May do a do a good job with guided hunts but it is apparent that the drop camp program is just a revenue stream. We were told we would have two Tents and ended up with one. 5 guys gear, cook stove and table in one tent was terrible. We averaged 5-7 miles per day in hiking and saw no elk. Finally meet with the other drop camps and 3 of the 5 camps called and demanded to be hauled out early. I have been hunting elk in CO for over 20 years and this was the worst guide service I have ever used. But for SJO to get 3 camps to move out in 4 days means they made some sweet cash by over booking. Called the office to express our disappointment in a courteous manner and of course they didn’t care.
