I am new to the neighborhood and being from a tropical island I believe in always supporting local!

I've also lived near NOLA and loved the food. The Workshop's dishes brings me back to my time out there!!!

One of my favorite things to do is ordering the soup of the day blind(I never look or ask what it is) and enjoying it at the pier on my day off!!!

Wonderful, delicious, authentic Cajun eats. My go to lunch here is the brisket po’boy with a side of Brussel sprouts. If I’m with other, I’ll get the hush puppies too.

The daily specials are a great choice! The gumbo is delicious; has the right amount of Cajun heat and is balanced with the flavor profile you expect from gumbo!
Friday special includes your choice of Po Boy and small cup of gumbo! Such a good deal!!

Stopped by for the first time today, and was I up for a huge surprise! Seafood platter was great and certainly shareable, and my favorite the chicken pot pie! First time trying that dish and I’ll certainly be back for more! Thank you Naomi as well for the wonderful hospitality. I’ll be back soon!

First timer - enjoyed The Workshop! Look forward to coming back and trying other menu items.
Got the Shrimp PoBoy with hush puppies. The lady at the window asked if I wanted cocktail sauce on the PoBoy (or on the side) and I agreed to try it as it is made. I would definitely get it again but light cocktail sauce or on the side. Hush puppies and their sauce was very good. It has been a long time since I had a hushpuppy.
Other order was Mixed Seafood. It came with shrimp, oysters, catfish and hushpuppies.
Love the outdoor seating area. They play great music. People coming and going. Street parking and didn't have a problem finding.

Really liked everything about this place. The hush puppies were delicious. The catfish and shrimp Po Boys were both delicious. Only thing I did not like was the cocktail sauce. It was VERY heavy on the horseradish. If you really like horseradish then you'll love it, if not it was overwhelming. The shrimp Po Boy comes with a heavy serving of the cocktail sauce on it so if you're a first timer, I suggest getting it on the side. The tartar sauce was delicious though, I think the shrimp Po Boy w tartar sauce would be amazing, definitely trying that next time. Just heated up our gumbo, I'll let you know how it goes!

Good food that’s down to the nitty gritty… I hate the specials and what makes them great is only offered daily, but it works for them so I’m happy for that. But it’s a good spot and it’s definitely worth the try. I had the oyster and shrimp Poboys. They were both really good. I spruced them up with a little extra tartar sauce and hot sauce. Other than that, it was good to go. Definitely a must try if you want southern soul cuisine in the area.
