The old Athens, AL Waffle House is all around much better than the newest Waffle House on Hwy 31. Service is completely 100% better as is the food. The dining area may be a bit older but I can handle that with the other options.

Just left and service was horrible, I ate half my sandwich and realized there was a HAIR under the other half of my sandwich and the manager apologized but still charged me for my hash browns and drink and she never offered to make me another sandwich and I could not believe she didn't offer a full refund.. ON top of the waitress who never asked us for refills and never brought our check to us.

I've probably ate here 10 times in the morning and never had an issue and I will never be back to this location.

If you could put 0 stars I would. Very pushy and rude staff. Found a dark hair cooked in my eggs . They acted like it was one of mine. My hair is pink . Will not be going back.

It's Waffle House. Like Denny's, but for people that know how to fight. The coffee mug had a little something on it, and I struggled to wipe it off with a napkin, thinking it was coffee grounds. When I turned the mug to the other side, I discovered it was actually industrial strength lipstick. Nope, I don't wear lipstick. The waitress was good about it, asking "What, not your shade?" and brought me a new mug of coffee.
Original plastic-covered menu hadn't been wiped down, and looked like a used sucking chest wound bandage, so swapped it with the one next to me before the food arrived.
The bacon and egg hash brown bowl was good, even though the bacon was undercooked and the hash browns were soggy. The food was hot, I was hungry, and ate it anyway. Didn't get sick, so win.
Met Waffle House expectations. Solid 4 stars.

The server was very polite and the cook seemed friendly. Food was good. I would definitely say it was great customer service. Counters needed a bit cleaning but it was only one person working as a server/cashier. Would undoubtedly return.

Restaurant was clean. SERVICE was amazing. Our waiter (Mike) was the best ever! Food arrived quickly and piping hot! We had our waffle early and shared. We Didn't have to ask for an extra plate either! Our coffee was filled on time! The waiter deserves a raise for sure! Atmosphere was good too. Very cozy place! Temp was just right. It Wasn't to hot or cold!
