UPDATE: 4/14/2024 Sadly, I can only assume that Immigration came and raided this place and deported the original chef... The food was 180 degrees out from my first visit. Although the plate was visually appealing, the Birria was a flavorless greasy red liquid. The tacos themselves were as crispy as a wet shower rag. No taste and no distinction between the meat and the cheese. I asked for water and was brought a glass of warm water with no ice, really. I do not think I’ll be back and you should avoid this place as well as apparently there is no consistence in the kitchen. Sad.

Aunque el plato era visualmente atractivo, la Birria era un líquido rojo grasoso sin sabor. Los tacos estaban tan crujientes como un trapo de ducha mojado. Sin sabor y sin distinción entre la carne y el queso. Pedí un vaso de agua y me trajeron un vaso de agua sin hielo casi caliente de la pila, la verdad. No creo que vuelva y deberías evitar este lugar. Aparentemente no hay consistencia en la cocina. Que lastima…

ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is the real deal food wise. Food was well prepared with the right amount of spice and served in a super clean location. Located in a questionable area of Athens, everyone inside both the store and the restaurant were very friendly and attentive. Since I started eatting birre tacos, this place has without a doubt the best consume with that plate. As mentioned by others pricing is a bit on the high side, but hey was isn't! I'll be back and you should stop by as well.

The staff was friendly and service was pretty fast. The food was average. I had a Pastor Taco and a Carnitas Torta. There are better options in Athens and Madison for Torta’s with bread that is more hot and fresh.

Worst customer service I ever experienced. Walked in with my daughter the 2 women working don’t acknowledge us. We sat down waited for a few minutes , no one ever came to leave us a menu or ask for drinks. Went up to the register to grab a menu my self and the last asked if I needed a menu I told her yes she was rude when I grab the menu . Waited another 10 mins and still nobody came to take our order . Last time I ever give them my business

Well exceeded expectations!!!! Super friendly and fast customer service and that was probably the best Hispanic dish I have ever eaten in my life. 10/10 Will be going back!! Everything down to the green sauce was spot on!

Way over priced and if u are in the mood for atole de elote make sure its fresh went there 2 days ago and I swear I got 2 cups for 8 dollars and I should've left it and gotten a refund 1 the girl microwaved it and it was thick and cold and gross I've had it before and it was delicious but I don't know what in the world happened this time
