I can’t rave about this place enough. Quixote Farm was the most magical stay we’ve had in SoCal. We opted for Lara’s home cooked meals and ate them at the table in the middle of the orchard. It was pure magic! Don’t pass this up, book today!

A beautiful place and beautiful people. Very hospitable and friendly people. We met the sweetest lady and variety of citrus ?. It has been bookmarked on my maps. God willing I come back again.

My wife and I stayed at their Airbnb (I think it’s called Quixote cottage or something) for a weekend getaway and we had an absolutely wonderful time. There are Lemon, orange and avocado trees as far as the eyes can see. And if you’re ever done looking at trees you can just lay your eyes on the beauty that is the Pauma Valley.

Also, and most importantly, they have HORSIES! Only takes a carrot or two and they’re you’re best friends.

The owners are super friendly too. They took us on a little tour across their property and turns out there’s EVEN MORE pretty stuff to see lol.
If you’re into homemade/organic products, I believe they sell some of their own produce. Unfortunately we forgot to buy some before we left, but there’s always a next time 🙂

We recently stayed here with friends in the barn. Rancho Quixote is a beautiful, peaceful, and warm retreat. Lara and Skip create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It really surprised me to find a place so close to San Diego that felt quite far away. We picked fruit in the orchard, had a sunset drink on the mountain, and ate really well. The barn offered great accommodations with comfy beds and nice stargazing. We also bought some honey and lotion that were sourced on site and from nearby farms.

I mean WOW! From the views to the food, it was a stunning experience! We went for a girls getaway and Lara & Skip were the best hosts. Lara's food is literally the best thing I will ever eat. It felt so good to be taken care of, nourished, and be around nature. If you are planning a girls trip or even a romantic getaway- book it now! You won't regret it!

Absolutely beautiful and magical place! I stayed in “the barn” with my family—the accommodations were just lovely, extremely clean and comfortable. We wandered among the orange trees, eating fruit right off the trees, swam in the pool, and even caught an amazing sunset from the top of the hill. Don’t miss out on Lara’s scones, I’ve never had anything like them!

This place was amazing! We stayed in the top part of the b&b while other patrons were on the lower portion of the rental. The stay was peaceful, adventurous, and our room was tastefully decorated with stocked with cooking utensils... we went to a nearby market to cook breakfast and enjoy the views from our patio.... Definitely an A+ and will book again...

A couple of weeks ago I had the privilege of spending two days at the Quixote Cottage. I am a grateful full-time caregiver for my beloved husband and this was the first time in a year that I had an opportunity to get a little break with some girlfriends.
It’s no exaggeration to say that I felt like I had been away for over a week. That’s how refreshed I felt having been out there in nature, surrounded by the beauty of the orchards, horses, a gorgeous pool, and such luxurious accommodations. I’m in my 70s and I’ve been all over the world and experienced very high-end hotels. I would put this at the top of any list. The linens were sumptuous, the kitchen was phenomenal, the outdoor deck for breakfast or dinner is lovely and the beds are to die for. I slept better than I have in years. The hospitality of the kind and caring owners felt personal. I’m so grateful for having had this experience.
