Very disappointed in the way this association communication with vendors and residents. Applied to be a part of our local farmers market for over a year. After hunting them down and trying to get answers… I received a very unprofessional email from the district manager stating that we would not be able to get into our own local market. Yet we have no problems getting in to surrounding farmer markets. As residents and small business owners we should have first priority to get into our local market. Especially when we are employing local residents. I will make sure that my next town hall meeting this is brought up ongoing with a petition to hire a new association when this contract is up May 2018. There are other farmers market associations out there! A farmers market is not just about selling produce it's also about bringing the town together supporting small business that are owned by residence.
