Had cypress tree with progressing brown spots, contacted 3 "arborists" from yelp. Sent pictures, got 3 different diagnoses. Didn't feel confident about any of them. Luckily found Raymond on nextdoor.com. He provided lots of helpful information, not only to treat the problem (inexpensively!), but also useful info about many plants in our yard. He's very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He scuffed a root with his shoe and was able to tell which of the trees the root belonged to; it was really impressive! It was a very pleasant experience and we would not hesitate to call him again. We enthusiastically recommend him and know that you'll be as pleased and grateful as we were!

I've spoken with several horticulturists recently concerning a large black spot on one of my trees. I was given different answers and different solutions and none worked. Then I spoke with Raymond Edwords. He looked at my mesquite tree, quickly assessed the problem, what most likely caused it and how to deal with it so that it clears up and never comes back. He laid out a pretty simple plan that made more sense to me then what I heard from all of the other horticulturists put together. He spent a lot of time and really seemed to care. His vast knowledge of trees is impressive and his price was fair. I feel so relieved that I received the proper diagnosis and treatment and that my tree will be just fine. I highly recommend Raymond and by the way...he's a real nice guy.

We hired Raymond Edwords mainly to advise us on drainage in our back yard, as water pools in our driveway and floods the garage. He gave us detailed instructions on how and where to put in a catch basin with sump pump, and then get the water to the curb. In the several hour consultation, though, he gave us so much more – he advised us on re-grading our gutters and incorporate those on a new addition, how and what to plant in our two yards; advice on installing fencing and acid washing for cement walls. We talked about shade cloth, solar panels, decking, gutter covers, plumbing issues, and swale grate upgrade. He is extremely knowledgeable across many fields, and since he is not selling anything, we were just paying for his knowledge and advice. I would definitely recommend him.
