I always feel uncomfortable shopping when employees are following me. I just felt like I can’t relax. I own a retail stores and I always tell my employee to be friendly and let customers shop.

Last Saturday i got accosted by an old man employee for putting my backpack behind the counter. That's where several employees asked me to put it over the last several months. He was in my face yelling at me. Not sure what his problem is but, I wish he hadn't projected it on me. That guy has never heard of pono. This place was OK but way overpriced. There's nothing here you can't get cheaper elsewhere in Hilo, but it was convenient being right at the Terminal. I'll not be returning so long as they have such a hateful member on their staff. KTA is literally around the corner. Bro could have just communicated to me to please ask to set my stuff behind the counter. Instead he went so hard I'm out. I left on the spot and spent my money at other grocery stores. I don't need that. Where's the Aloha?

I really like this natural food store has a wide variety of natural products from local farmers to national award winning products. I definitely would promote Abundant Life to anyone I know. The Ginger/Pear Smoothie is so delicious. A must see & returning to visit often.

Lots of great groceries, Beauty products, beverages, herbal remedies and other goodies packed into this fabulous little store.

Staff are very helpful and friendly and offer you assistance in locating anything you might need in store.

Located conveniently in Hilo town, this health food store has limited bulk section and fairly priced supplements. However, when checking out and asking about a discount we were informed that there was a senior discount, but a Hawaiian ID was necessary for utilizing it. While every other health store in the general vicinity offers some kind of loyalty program, From Keaau Natural foods, with a 15% discount to Island Naturals which has a 5 cash back after a certain amount. It is incomprehensible that this owner could be so exceptionally penorious. The clerk who explained this to us, when pressed, with a vitriolic dismissive attitude claimed it was store policy. Is the owner afraid that a senior tourist is less deserving than a local, when tourism is the main economic business in this area. I will not return to this store, and I suggest you also go elsewhere. Island Naturals is just down the street realistically, with a better selection and friendly employees.

I LOVE this store. If you have never been here, you need to go.

It is so lovely being able to grocery shop in downtown historic Hilo rather than in an air conditioned strip mall, like many other grocery stores in town.

This is a locally-owned business and is part of the fabric of downtown Hilo. It is well stocked and always an enjoyable shopping experience.
