I've made a return beginning of summer 2023 ( box was never opened, just found a better deal) the older person that helped me was rude but that's not why I'm doing this review, he never gave a receipt for the return and said they don't give receipts for returns, he said money was back on the card and I'm good to go. Well I never got my $70 back on the card, long story short I made another return in wasilla today and what do know I actually got a receipt that shows money going back to my credit card. I like AIH but that location in eagle River will not get my business

Their staff is always friendly and helpful when you need them to be without hovering over you. There is a large variety of items, many things that the large box stores don’t have and they carry quality items. It’s a great place to wander around in and discover new things and get those hard to buy for people gifts.

Great time of the year for Christmas shopping, and I went in to AIH looking for leather, sherpa-lined work gloves. AIH had the sizes I needed for everyone and the price is very reasonable and has not changed much for quite some time. They expect their huge annual calendars any time now; I've said for decades I could not keep house without them! You'd better head to AIH!

Assistant manager there was extremely rude!
Seems they don’t feel the need to help their customers. Won’t be back again!
Second time coming and it’s the same rude arrogance, wasn’t pleased with the help.
First time came due to a problem with our chainsaw, and wasn’t happy with it.
Second, time a friend asked for military discount, assistant manager thought about it “umm, some things, by not today!” Really? We are spending lots and to be treated that way, not cool.

The worst place my husband and I have ever shopped. We needed a specific yard tool that only IAH sold. We requested to see the equipment and Alicia (one of the employees) acted as if we were such an inconvenience asking for details regarding the tool. She passed us to the assistant manager, we thought his service would be better, we were wrong. He acted just as bad as the first employee. Acted as if we were wasting their time even after we purchased the $300.00 piece of equipment. Will never go back to this business. Would give zero stars if I could.
