My husband and I had our wedding here in October 2024 and we were so happy with AleCraft. I know breweries aren't what people typically think of when considering a wedding venue, but if you're looking for a space that's informal, down to earth, and a provides a little offbeat relief from the stuffy wedding industry and you're in Southern YoCo, consider AleCraft. They absolutely nailed our wedding, and it was their first time hosting one. I grew up in New Freedom and spent a lot of time on the rail trail. I've always had a soft spot for Railroad and after months of turning our wheels on where to get married, it suddenly dawned on me -- just do it 7 minutes from where you grew up, dummy! Eryn Streett is one of the co-owners and she was just dynamite in helping us pull this together. She was thoughtful, responsive, and flexible. Her support staff (bartenders, bar backs, food runners, etc) were awesome and the head chef Dave (along with his crew) made all the food which people raved about. As I was the bride I didn't get to eat much but what I was able to try was SO good. We did an outdoor/indoor wedding by using a big tent in their side yard and then using the private bar downstairs. Everything truly came together so nicely. I know the whole team is looking forward to being able to do something like this again, so please consider AleCraft for your brewery wedding!

We recently held our baby shower here, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience! It was located on the bottom floor and was such a nice space for a private space! From start to finish, the staff was incredibly accommodating, ensuring every detail was just right. My friend who was in communication with the owner and chef had nothing but positive things to say. Working on curating our menu with the chef seemed easy and great suggestions were made to help make the process easier on us for deciding what we wanted.

The space was large enough to cover all of our guests (~45-50) and to my knowledge could have held probably twice that if needed. Our friends and family couldn’t stop raving about how wonderful everything was, especially the food!! We got so many compliments from our guests about the atmosphere, staff and food.

The staff were very laid back in terms of planning and execution which is extremely helpful when planning large events - there was absolutely no pressure on their end. The cost was extremely reasonable too which these days is a huge plus!

If you’re looking for a venue that combines excellent service, a great setting, and a truly memorable experience, AleCraft is the place to go. We are so grateful for their efforts in making our baby shower so special and would highly recommend them to anyone planning an event!

We stopped in on a Saturday late afternoon. The parking lot was crowded but the tasting room wasn’t as congested as I expected. There was a private event happening downstairs so that explained the lot. We sat at the bar and shared an enjoyable flight of beer. We didn’t eat anything but they do have a good menu. The location is cool - adjacent to a rail trail I think because I saw a couple on bikes riding along the tree line. I saw a sign for goat yoga that was happening later that evening. Their outdoor area is spacious. Out bartender was friendly and helpful. We would return if in the area again.

7 of us went to dinner, all ordering dinner at the same time. One person's food was served after 10 minutes, and the next 4 dinners were served in 10 minute intervals. The appetizer was served after the dinner items were served. 45 minutes after ordering dinner, the remaining 2 diners were told they were out of their dinner item. They re-ordered and after another 45 minutes, their dinners still had not arrived. We cancelled the remaining 2 dinner orders and left. Brew pubs need to understand that the food and service is as important as the beer.

My family and I (2 adults and 4 children) went today for the Easter Egg Hunt and brunch event. When we got there they could not find my reservation for 12:30pm, I had to point out my name for them. We arrived 5 mins late but were still seated. When we were sat, we were sat in the far back next to the storage closet, which wasn’t completely terrible because we were right next to the bunny and my kids enjoyed that. We ordered drinks for our table and placed our orders shortly after being sat. We were told when we sat down, the kitchen was pretty busy, so we were expecting a delay. What we didn’t expect was the delay to be over 2 hours long. We watched other customers get their food before us when they arrived after us and leave before we even got our food. The only reason I could think we were treated so poorly is because of the color of our skin. We were the only people of color in this whole establishment. As soon as we walked through the doors we were instantly treated differently. When we finally asked the waiter how much longer we would have to wait, mind you the place had cleared out by this time, we were told our food would “worst case scenario 40 mins out”.. That would have put us there for over 3 hours JUST waiting on food. Taking in the consideration of the event taking place we gave grace but there is NO excuse for the treatment we received as PAYING CUSTOMERS. We ended up leaving without ever receiving our food, with my kids still hungry and all of us upset. Worst experience ever! DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE OF COLOR!

***Thank for the response BUT unfortunately according to your waiter our food was still not made when we decided to leave. Anything to make you guys look better lol. Still will NEVER receive our business again. This is a pitiful excuse for bad service.****

Off the path! I’ll admit, I was a little unsure driving to this place, but it was great. You could probably fit the entire population of the town into the main room. 😉

There’s a wide selection of beers. I had a sour based off an Arnold Palmer. It was incredible. They serve food & have a cafe inside as well. The bacon wrapped dates were fantastic.

Seating is plentiful. The main room is huge. There’s a rooftop patio, outdoor seating, & a downstairs bar (service only on weekends, but open for seating).

It appears they have plenty of entertainment as well. Someone was setting up Monday karaoke as we were leaving.

Family friendly. Dogs can come, but they have to be outdoors.

Large place with ground floor, as well as upstairs and downstairs space. Outside seating (self-service only outside). Good selection of beers made on premises. Limited selection of seltzers and alcohol-based slushies. Excellent Marzen and Fest beer (seasonal). Limited bar food menu. Friendly staff, not cluquish and easy to strike up a conversation with other patrons.

Immediately off the North Central Rail-to-Trail Path between Hunt Valley, MD and York, PA.
