we had baklava, turkish coffee, and mint tea. as a turkish person fist time in my life i had microwaved baklava. it was mushy and hot. they only brought 2 slices of baklava. the turkish coffee wasnt worth drinking as taste and smell was off, the serving was not also the best, we use little cups and give a small cup of water on the side. mint tea wasnt so good looking either. not recommended.

Server was very nice, welcoming, the atmosphere was dim inside, there are plenty of seating. I chose a seating near the window, however began to regret my choice as one of those tables is rickity side to side, which made eating a bit uncomfortable. Music wasn’t too loud, it felt like a mom & pop shop, homely even. Their black cherry soda is very refreshing, their Turkish coffee is very unique & interesting~ something I’ve never had before. It tasted strong yet refreshing in a way, especially a tiny sip after you eat some food to cleanse-the-palette almost. (It is also served black or plain, no cream or milk or sugar) ordered Spfeeha pie, simple & delicious. Bit pricey for its serving amount & size, got the Sahara Chicken & Arab Spring. Both were delicious, similar yet different from each other. Rice is lightly seasoned, the chicken was juicy & well seasoned, the grilled vegetables & mushrooms were fresh & a delight. My sister & I absolutely enjoyed the Labeneh yogurt spread, mixing a bit of that into the rice takes it to another level. The salad was okay. My only complaint was hair was found in my Sahara Chicken, twice, I didn’t want to make a scene since we were enjoying the food. So I didn’t notify them & simply removed it & removed a portion of that area to the table plate that was given. (Hopefully sanitary precautions can be taken a bit more serious? As that would off put people for those simply placing trust in the establishment)

This is a Mediterranean delight. Went there for a friend’s birthday dinner and so glad to have chosen this place. The staff is extremely accommodating and helpful. They even played the birthday song while we cut the cake (which was really nice). Everything we ordered was so refreshing from the Tabouleh salad to the falafel platter and the Sahara chicken. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area. Super friendly on the pocket. Will definitely be back again.

First timer, got the recommended kabab mixer. Love the grilled chicken and lamb. Eggplants tasted good too.

The best middle eastern/Mediterranean food in Hoboken. Not overly spicy nor tasteless, just perfect. The portions are big, so order accordingly. They have great meat and decent chicken. I'm not a huge fan of gyro in general but their's was very decent.
Love the ambiance of the family run business.

This was a very interesting spot. The entrance was not very enticing and there was no mood or atmosphere where I walked in slightly after lunch. Quite honestly I thought they were closed down. The lights were dim, you could see packing boxes everywhere and when I walked in the woman was on the phone. Though she quickly got off to ask what I needed it was still rather strange.

I took a glance at the menu, of which I had reviewed online to make sure they had the beef gyro I wanted. The chef then came out of the back and began to chop it all up with his knives little did I know this was going to be a fantastic sandwich.

In less than 10 minutes I had a fresh gyro wrapped up to go for about 12 dollars. I said my thank you and proceeded to eat my sandwich in the car.

The sandwich was delicious to be fair one of the best I have had. While I don’t think I would ever go there for a formal sit down as the location was not enticing. I would go back and order another takeout. The ratio of beef to vegetables was great and they didn’t over do the white sauce. Most gyros sandwiches are over done. The meat was not over cooked and the vegetables were well seasoned as well.

Kudos to the chef.

We had the Sahara chicken plate, baba ghanoush and pita. We also had the pistachio baklava. Overall, very tasty, quick service. It’s a casual eatery, so don’t expect fancy cutlery or ambience.

A very nice place to check out if you’re into mediterranean cuisine! Excellent vegetarian options and delicious food. But if you’re someone who enjoys good service like me then this is not the place. after being sat down for 15 mins the server gave the menu. After reminding 3 times, we finally got water which was bottled and we were not told about I assumed they would bring tap water and on top of that they will randomly put 15% or 18% tip irrespective of party size. Waiting for menu for 15 mins and then waiting for water not sure what kind of service one is getting and to top it off getting the drinks ordered post meal! Again if you’re a foody then this a good place to try but not for the service.
