Such a great day, they have it all here!
Free parking, free access to farm store, restaurant, snack stands, ice cream, and more. There was even a band when we went.
$40 for access to the PYO pick-your-own fields which includes various levels of container sizes and access to the large and small corn mazes, evergreen maze, sunflower trail, pumpkin patch, and hay rides.
So many apples of different varieties, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, beets, flowers and more.
Different times of year they have peaches, cherries, etc.

Such a beautiful place! To start off, this place is enormous. There is parking on site off to the side. We went for the 1:30 slot and it was already packed. There are bathrooms located in the front entrance. Once you enter, there are a few food stands where you were able to get roasted corn, all different flavored popcorn, caramel apples, icecream. There was another stand that offered pizza, sandwiches, chicken fingers, fries. So many picture opportunities just from the front entrance to where you scan your ticket to go apple picking. There’s a tractor/wagon that picks you up and takes you around the farm to the different areas to pick from. You can get off the wagon and stay in that area for a little while. Once you’re ready to head to the next location, you just wait in the designated area and another wagon will pass by, I’d say once every 5-7 mins, to pick you up. Aside from apples, you can pick pumpkins, broccoli, berries, eggplants, spinach, etc. there’s also a really nice market near the entrance where you can get apple cider donuts, more veggies, pies and so much more. I would def go back again. There was so much to do I don’t think I even really got to see/experience everything. Good for families and date nights alike.

Alstede is probably the biggest and most popular public access farm in NJ. Gets super crowded during the weekends, so better to early and purchase tickets online to save time. They do have to lots of parking attendances to maintain the flow of cars, including one way entrance and exits.

The center part of the location has ice cream stall, henhouse which is their restaurant, hot and cold coffee shop, tents for sitting area. The birthday party area, wagon wheel, animal feed, pony ride and bounce house all those things are within walkable distance. Live music is performed around the this place as well. The food served here is decent but very high prices.

To pick your own fruits/vegetables/pumpkins you have to take wagon ride. Most of those roads are not paved, so lots of bumps and dust. I didn’t bring any face cover but really wish I had one. The farm area is huge, lots of apple trees, huge pumpkin field, peaches, corn and variety of vegetables picking fields available.

Despite all the good things there are some major inconveniences I felt during my visit. At peak time, to get any kind of food or drink it takes more than 30 minutes of wait time. The bathroom stalls are placed in main area and around the picking fields but they are not maintained throughout the day. The foot pump operated water stations run out of soup and water by 2pm. Kids have major problems using these. I hope the farm works towards improving visitor experience.

I had an amazing time at the farm! There was plenty of walking, which I really enjoyed as it gave me a chance to take in the beauty of the fields. The variety of produce available was fantastic—apples, peppers, tomatoes, potatoes, zucchini, and pumpkins were all in season and ripe for picking. The live music created a lively atmosphere, and we made sure to take a break to enjoy some fresh, delicious donuts. It was an active and fun day, and I highly recommend it for anyone who loves a bit of adventure and being outdoors!

I have passed this farm several times and have never stepped foot into the farm because I'd typically go to other local area ones. Well, my co-worker told me the farm was opening the sunflower fields this week (M-F) for free and I figured I would check it out.

I was pleased to visit Alstede and right of the bat it was super clean with fresh produce and plantation and staff were plentiful on the property itself. We were also able to feed the animals, so it was a great activity for the kiddos.

I will certainly be back in the near future and I'm glad to have experienced the sunflower maze and activities throughout. There is plentiful for both, kids and adults.

This is an amazing place to bring your kids. There is so much to do and see! The pick your own Fruit and veggies are tons of fun. I say the best part for me is the wagon ride through the farm. If you go up by the cross right next to the peaches, and you can see the farm from a higher view. Make sure to get a few pictures there. All in all I really enjoy going here. And if your reading this, you should definitely go. 😉

Me and my friends had been to alstede farms in June and we had a very good time. Make sure you go on a good weather day which is not too sunny or humid because you may burn out due to the vastness of the farm.

Picking spot-
It’s a beautiful farm.. with variety of picking options available . You can book your tickets online and once you reach , you need to check in to get wristbands for the day . For each wristband, you get one pickup paper bowl or ziplock bag for your choice of picking .

They have tractor arrangements to take you to picking spots . Once you get down at a spot , you can pick and again get on tracker for next picking.
Best berry - blueberry and also peas was very tasty. You can go again and again in the tractor until closing time.

They had a small kids area and pony. Also, a band was playing which was good farm music background. They have small pizza and cool drinks selling outlet.

They have cattle’s for which you can feed cattle food by buying in the farm store. Cute bunnies will be roaming around .

Restrooms were pretty decent for farm area as well.

There was an open tents with benches and you can get your own food and have it there . Also sit and relax , paint or spend time with friends.

Kids can enjoy open space , tractor showpieces to sit and enjoy, ponies for ride and the play area.

Farm store - has some really cool stuffs. We did try out coffee beans and they are really good when blended. Also not to forget homemade ice creams spots with some real flavoured ice creams . You can enjoy 4-5 hours completely in the farm .

We recently visited Alstede Farms, and it was an amazing experience! The farm is located in New Jersey, not far from New York City. On our way there, we encountered wild animals, including small deer peacefully grazing by the roadside, unafraid of the cars. Unlike New York City, as soon as you leave its boundaries, it’s incredibly quiet and clean, with no honking – truly a paradise for the ears 🙈. I love New York, but sometimes I get so tired that I just want a bit of peace and quiet 🥹🫰🏼

About the farm:

Before entering, you need to buy a ticket (it’s cheaper online 😁). Once inside, you can eat fresh produce straight from the fields and pick your own delicious treats. We collected fruits and vegetables ourselves, with no supervision – signs are posted everywhere indicating what can be picked, what is ripe, and which paths to follow. Additionally, you can feed the animals, ride on a hay wagon, and explore various mazes, including a giant corn maze 🌽🙈.

If you prefer, you can visit without buying a ticket and simply relax in the café area where live music is played (local bands perform various popular songs). The farm store sells all the produce they grow – fresh vegetables, fruits, honey, homemade ice cream, and much more. I was eager to see if it tasted as good as my grandmother’s – unfortunately, it didn’t. You can’t get fresh milk straight from the cow, only pasteurized, but it’s still delicious 🙂

For families, this is a great way to entertain the kids: tractor rides around the farm, climbing on haystacks, horse riding, and more. You can also host any celebration there (they offer their own culinary delights).

In the fall, you can try their homemade wine and cider 🍺.
