Writing this solely for my experience getting coffee. Strolled in the afternoon and ordered an iced mocha and they freshly ground the beans and made a delicious drink. Overall the place seemed very clean! Loved the drink and the service and would return again!

I shop here only 3-4 times a year, as I live in another part of San Rafael, but I really dig this place. As a small local market--with limited shelf space, and the other constraints faced by any business of this size--they do a superb job, with product selection tailored to a hip, nutritionally-conscious upper-middle-class Norcal clientele.

Whenever I go in, I always seem to spend far more than I've intended to try out their stuff--most of which my g/f and I seem to get addicted to. They've got a knack for spotting and stocking trendy food items.

Clean, organized, nice staff, private lot.

The restroom is clean.

There are a variety of great products and have a deli.

Some of the produce is organic.

They could get more organic foods for a more exceptional shopping experience.

Honestly? Its got a monopoly on our neighborhood. The staff is nice, but the ice cream is consistently burnt, salads slightly old, and the company chips taste like corn dogs - odd but true. I also get the feeling that this market gets all of the older food from the other markets.
Back to the ice cream: why so burnt? There's ice cream thats 8$ a pint, with freezer burn on the outside, thats obviously been sitting there for months. Just turn down the freezer? I dunno seems like an easy fix.

Terrible experience. Ordered a roast turkey sandwich and guy toasted the whole thing which left entire sandwich burnt and dry. Also purchased a bagel dog for cooking at home. The thing was inedible when cooked. Very disappointed. Only time I went there. Will NOT return.
