Hiring Aya productions was one of our favorite choices we made for our dream wedding at the Grand Hyatt Kauai in June of 2023. Matt and Tamao captured our day perfectly with their exceptional photography and videography skills, but what really sets them apart is who they are as people. From the first time we talked with Tamao on the phone, it was evident how passionate her and Matt are about what they do. They truly care about each of their couples and will do everything they can to make sure you have the most amazing photos and videos to look back on from your day. I will never forget taking photos on the beach after our ceremony and turning around to see Tamao squatted down in the ocean with waves crashing in on her, just so she could capture the most beautiful angle of the sunset behind us. If that’s not dedication from your photographer, I don’t know what is! These two are in a class of their own and you will not regret choosing them to capture your special day! Matt & Tamao are absolutely wonderful and I'd whole heartedly recommend them for their skill as photographers and videographers. We hired them for our wedding last year and have no regrets. Their pricing was reasonable and in-line with the market. I felt that their hidden talent was their ability to put us "the couple" at ease while taking photos. Getting married is such a big production and goes by like a blur. In between our ceremony and reception we stepped away for some photos, we loved this time of quiet respite before jumping back into the blissful bubble of the reception. They share a first look of photos with us within 90 days and the full batch of photos and videos arrived in about 5 months. They were stunning! From the start, Tamao was so kind to spend time with me while we were still deep in wedding planning mode. I had so many questions and she gave incredible advice. We are at a loss for words. Tamao and Matt are the BEST! We could not have dreamed of a better team to create such a magical experience. We are so so grateful for both of them!! We had such an incredible day, and they made it so much more special. Their kind, genuine, calm, and creative energy made us feel both excited and at ease!
We are both awkward and shy in front of a camera, but Tamao and Matt made it fun and easy to just enjoy the moment, twirl in our dresses, and savor the morning with each other. I couldn’t tell who was more excited (us or Tamao and Matt) to climb barefoot up a mountain to chase the enchanting light drifting through the trees. We LOVE looking at our photos and reliving the most perfect day. We’re OBSESSED! When my wife and I started the process of planning our Wedding in Kauai my first priority was first to find ourselves a videographer/photographer. I stayed up all night for a week searching for the right one. I came across a reel on Instagram that caught my attention! Once I found AYA I messaged our wedding planner that we wanted AYA. They responded quickly and that was the start of an amazing adventure and friendship with these 2! God truly blessed us with these amazing souls and creators. Their work is captivating and so very special. From the very first call and interaction it was sparks and an everlasting connection. We had planned not only for them to help us on our wedding day but also for our engagement photos. Since I was proposed to first I wanted to also surpirse my now wife with an engagement as well and Matt & Tamao we're fully onboard and helped me plan an epic proposal. They knew our vision and made it into an even magical reality. They completely helped us plan and coordinate what we were planning and captured everything and more. They are beyond than just a videographer/photographer, they are experts and made our experience so memorable. During our engagement shots they made it super fun and guided us through everything, making us feel like queens and so very natural in our shots. I mean we hiked at the top of Waimea Canyon! Talk about adventure shots just like what we envisioned. Having been able to have a relationship with them made our wedding day that much more exciting. On our wedding day, our whole family and bridal party were enamored by them and felt the love, support and their creativity. They know exactly what to do and how to create an epic wedding experience. From our talks, to ideas and their genuine love to making sure we have a memorable day caught. When you see their work its like watching an epic love story! You can tell when you see and watch an AYA production, its like nothing else. We so love and appreciate you and the magic you share with the world.
