A few years ago I saw a friend post about a heavenly gardenia plant for Back Yard Aqua Farms. I’ve been following them on IG since then.
I’ve also been trying to get out there to see their plants.
I finally got there !!
When I pulled up, I could see the plants from the road. I love plants, so I was so excited.
My sister and I spent over a half an hour there talking to the owner and looking at the different plants, trying to decide which ones would come home with me.
He is so knowledgeable about everything concerning plants, including mailing plants out of state.
If you love plants and are looking for unique local plants, don’t wait, make an appointment today.
I got the Kula and Heavenly gardenia, a beautiful Mamaki, a rose pikake and a red leaf hibiscus with leaves that can be eaten and it helps lower blood pressure.
Oh and I also got a really adorable lady planter with long strands of vines that look like curly hair!! So cute!!

Wonderful place, amazing people, beautiful plants. I couldn’t begin to express my gratitude. The owner saved me in a time of need. I get on a flight tomorrow and got severe sunburn that has been hurting so badly, He was so very generous and kind. I immediately put the fresh aloe on and it gave instant relief. I will forever be grateful and I will send my uncle who lives on the island if he ever needs to buy any plants. True blessing!! Mahalo!!
