I waited a little too late to order my garlic bulbs for planting this October and when I saw that my regular supplier had already sold out, I looked online and found Basaltic Garlic Farms. They had good reviews, so I gave them a try. The prices were favorable, shipping was quick, and I was surprised at the quality of the shipping box and its protection. My crop is now planted and can't wait to see the results this coming summer.

The garlic I received are very good; they are fresh, firm, dry and large cloves. I was so blessed to talk to Gene, who is so knowledgeable and so willing to give me great advices how to have better harvest, I am looking forward for a great results in late spring 2025. I ordered some Music garlic so I could plant them. The bulbs were very healthy and had nice large cloves ready for me to put in the ground. I saved a couple bulbs to use in cooking and the flavor was amazing. I have been growing garlic for decades. 5 years ago, I retired and moved to Southern Idaho. My seed garlic did not survive the move. Last year, I started growing garlic again and was fortunate enough to find Basaltic Farms online, and purchased 3 Lbs of Music from them. They do not just sell garlic, but they want you to be successful growing it. I just harvested last years garlic mid July 2024 but unfortunately whilst curing it for storage, we were hit with about a month of 95+ degree heat, and about half of it did not survive. We have been eating that which did survive and it is as good as I have ever had. So, I purchased another 3 Lbs from Basaltic Farms to plant this Halloween (planting day for garlic here).

The gentleman at Basaltic Farms that assisted with my order was professional, friendly and very helpful. I had problem ordering online and he helped me on the telephone. We chatted for about 15 minutes and he is a great guy I would love to talk with any time, about garlic and life in general, very nice young man.

I am willing to bet that this years garlic crop will turn out as well as this past years - the heads were huge, 4 to 5 cloves per head and very, very tasty. I recommend Basaltic Farms to anyone needing Seed Garlic. As good a product if not better than anywhere I have ever bought. Their helpfulness and support is unequalled as well.

Tried Basaltic for the first time this year and was pleased. Ordered 5 lbs. Music which arrived within a week. Some bulbs were a little moldy, but they were all in good enough shape to grow. Excited about a July harvest!

My garlic arrived at the time in which I ordered it to be sent. The bulbs of inchelium red were firm and large. I garden in the high desert and was able to plant before any cold weather set in. The few smaller cloves that I did not plant I used in pico de gallo and they were delicious. Glad to support a family business.
