This was our favorite thing we did on our first time on the big island! Our tour guide Carlos was so fabulous. He was so knowledgeable as well as being so kind and funny! We learned so much about abalone, seaweed and other little sea critters! I learned so much and the hour tour flew by because we were having such a good time. The tour is so hands on and even though I was a little scared of touching them, Carlos made me feel super confident and I’m so glad i was able to hold the abalone and other critters! At the end of the tour we got to try the abalone as well as the sea grapes which were amazing!!! I cannot recommend this tour more, we just had a great time and I’m so glad we booked this ❤️

This was a really cool adventure. Karin was an excellent tour guide and very knowledgeable and welcoming. Our group had a blast. We learned a ton about farming abalone and why wild abalone is so rare. Getting to touch and taste the various critters on the farm was a plus. It was a highlight of our trip!

Karin provided a great tour with a really interesting overview of how abalone is farmed. Lots of hands-on opportunities and delicious samples. (We stopped at the food truck two more times during our trip because the smoke abalone was so delicious.)

What a fun and informative tour! Kai was our tour guide, and he did a great job showing us all the stages of the abalone. There were some children on our tour, and he was very patient and engaging with them, too. Tasting the abalone and seaweed was also great, and we grabbed some more steamed abalone with garlic butter at the food truck on site. Great experience!

Carlos provided us with a first rate tour of the farm. He shared so much information with us on the operation of the farm - both the growth cycle of the abalone and the seaweed. We also were able to see and hold other sea creatures. The abalone and seaweed samples at the end were delicious. It was honestly one of the best tours I have taken.

Fun and informative tour with Karin. Our group was small but we still got to see and hear about all parts of the process. Getting to touch and handle the various things was also nice, gives you a true experience!
