A long day of driving, thru the tunnel from OR into CA. And I start to think of blueberries. Surely I can find an organic berry farm on the North CA coast. And then, just as the road starts to open up as it comes into Crescent City, THERE IT IS! Blueberry Hill Farms - delicious reasonably priced organic berries right off the bushes behind the barn. Nice talk with the owner and then scored a big flat of berries that took us down the coast for several days as well as few jars of their delicious less sugar blueberry jam. Yes, they also have a fully sugared version. You a blueberry junkie? Then don't pass this place by....

The best blueberries! We camp at Jed Smith Redwoods State Park every year and always stop here (providing they are open for the season) for a flat or two of blueberries. People at the farm have always been very pleasant and helpful.
