Such an awesome experience! As soon as we got there a volunteer offered to give us a tour and explained everything they do there. They are helping keep extinct plants alive and thriving. Such a beautiful place and it’s free to get in! The volunteers had their pups with them and they were super cute as well! (Don’t worry they keep them on a leash)

We had an instructive tour of the gardens. It was an educational experience to view the gardens and to learn the significance, history, and why these specific species of plants are found in this garden. It’s a beautiful place to visit for a self-guided tour, but an instinctive tour enhances the experience.

Just at the entrance of the university. Its split into two gardens, so you follow a path to the palm garden after the first one. The gardens aren't big but are well kept and labeled. Nice if you like taking photos 🙂

A hidden gem per say. I was the only one in the garden during my visit. So pretty with quite an exotic collection for different countries/regions. Also, no entry fee so you won’t feel compelled to get your entry ticket’s worth!

What a wonderful gem! The bromeliads are amazing, but the work they do to conserve cycads is globally important. They need more volunteers. I need to explore the palms next time I go.

This place was absolutely lovely. I wish we would have come here before we went and paid money to the gardens at Botanical World Adventures. This Garden is WAY better and it's free. Parking is a little confusing, but there is a pull off spot across the road (on Lanikaula Street) where a few cars can park. The actual sign and entrance is facing the side street, Nowelo Street, but no parking on that street. It wasn't busy when we were there and we even ran into a college professor there and he was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed seeing a variety of unique plants. Saw lots of lizards. They have done a beautiful job on this garden and truly appreciate the signs they have to get to the palm garden. Everything is clearly laid out and they even have a self guided tour flyer you can grab from their greenhouse building. If you have 30-45 minutes and are looking for something free to do in the area, come here!!!!! Thank you students and staff for all your hard work in planting and upkeeping this garden to keep it beautiful.
