We hosted a bridal shower here for my sister in law. Linzy the owner was amazing to work with. She customized our menu for the event, was prompt with emailing and answering questions. The morning of the event we were greeted from the staff and the food was prompt at the times we had asked for. We were able to decorate the tables, dessert table and gift table. The cooks, staff and bartender were amazing! 10/10 recommend for events or even just to eat. Fruits and veggies platters were great. Pizza and salad were amazing. The cost of the event was affordable for the amount of people we had. I would definitely have another event here.

Definitely the best spot in Ventura I visited during my work trip!

Get the fried chickpeas! That alone earns a 5 star rating! I didn't get a chance to try the beer, but they had a lot of great selections. I had the double smash burger and added an egg and bacon. It was incredible! I highly recommend that. The ceasar salad is really good, and the drsssing wasn't runny like a lot of places, more of a hint of the anchovies in the dressing that I'm used to, which was a good thing. The staff was friendly and they had oockey on the TV, so that was good. A great atmosphere, go if you're in the area!

We held a baby shower with about 40 people. The venue was festive, with the open kitchen and our decorations. People enjoyed the variety of drinks, both alcoholic and non alcoholic. The service and food were great. Working with Linzy M. to set up the event was the best. She is knowledgeable, efficient and fun! I would highly recommend hosting an event here!

Literally the Bright Spark I needed on a really rough day. My beloved dog, Atticus, was across the street at Ventura Medical and Surgical Group and I wondered over to Bright Spark to take my mind off things while I waited for my dog. I was greeted so warmly by Andrew, who asked if I was just stopping through Ventura. I told him my dog was across the street and he was so comforting and kind. We had a great chat about beer and dogs, and I really enjoyed the Dream IPA. The French fries were also delicious. I bought a growler of Greener Pastures hoppy pils to take home for my husband. Great beer + amazing customer service always earns 5 stars from me. I will be back!

DO. GO. HERE. They are everything you’d dream of a brewery, local business, happy hour, and more.

Third visit and everything we’ve eaten has been fire. Hitting happy hour with a seasonal menu for the first time and it’s too good.

Loving the saison. Local natural wine too, so there’s something for everyone.

Friendliest crew. I’ve seen a private room birthday party that looked so laid back — like a comfortable living room extension. And they’ve got games and toys and books for a family friendly vibe.

They do trivia on Wednesday and have a lively events calendar.

Bright Spark is both relatively new and a little hidden in the industrial areas but you'd never tell my visiting. The brewery is a decent sized operation and there were plenty of patrons despite the late hour.
The collection of beers on tap was pretty wide ranging though unfortunately some of the more exotic pours were tapped out (like the nectarine, kiwi, green tea DIPA). I grabbed a flight and found that the beers on tap were all solid representations of there respective types.
We came too late to grab food as the kitchen had closed up but if we're in the area again I wouldn't mind stopping in to try some food and drink again.

Spark really stands out to me. The beer is always super. The food is actually spectacular. You'll be hard pressed to find the level of care and love that goes into creating consistent and great tasting food that is presented very well.
