Shipping is rapid and safe for live plants and other products. I purchased some lovely fig trees that arrived safely and quickly. I also purchased plant food for my house plants and lawn. Soooo disappointed. I ordered two butterfly bush plants for $16.95 each and $13 shipping that were tiny 4 inch twigs with a few leaves when they arrived. One was moldy and looked old. Customer service was telling me to plant them to see if they grew? I went to Lowe's and purchased a beautiful gallon butterfly bush for the same price. Never again. I have purchased hundreds of dollars in seeds before. Now I am questioning that next purchase as well.

My review and a Honest One hard to come by now a days …last winter I was thinking about starting a garden ( a friend of mines had a garden and his house during the winter and I was amaze cause it’s freezing there aka Canada ) any way. Was searching for veggies seeds ( first time having a veggie garden ) well anyway I went on Walmart and look at seeds and such and I was thinking no harm no foul if it’s grow so best it if not I didn’t spend tons of cash for seeds and my surprise this seed company had seeds that really sprout and took over lol …already thinking about next year crops ….dont think just do …Grow a Garden …will by again

Been buying seeds and supplies for many seasons now. Seeds, are great. Processing time is very slow though. Not sure why it takes over a week to fulfill a few seed packets. Not sure why it takes so long and it doesn't seem to matter what time of year. Usually takes about 2 weeks to receive after ordering.
Just make sure you give enough time and order early.

Months ago I decided to expand my garden so that I could help feed many of the seniors in my area that have a tough time making ends meet. I live on a small farm and last July my pistachio orchard burned down. I have extra room now and I saw a Burpee ad on Facebook, I believe or perhaps Instagram. I splurged and ordered over $350 of seeds/bulbs. I tried to order using their website but after I’d reach 20 ish items it would revert to zero. It was frustrating so eventually I called and placed an order. My seeds arrived just fine. I spent a fair amount of money on bulbs like Walla Walla Sweet onions, garlic, leeks etc. They were scheduled to ship later and I received a notice my onions left Texas grower and an hour later arrived at Shreveport PO. where they sat, and sat and sat. I called Burpee and I was told they were delayed because of weather. Well I found that interesting because Shreveport was experiencing very warm weather (80’s) and there was no problematic weather between my farm and Louisiana! The next person insisted they were on the truck and out for delivery that day” but of course that would be difficult since I’m in California and they were still in Louisiana! I called customer service at Burpee over and over and told lies each time. I called the corporate office asking to speak with head of customer service or operations director. Someone left me a very brief message that they were (you guessed it) on the truck and out for delivery. So I reached out to USPS who found the box that had been misplaced at the Shreveport USPS and two days later I received the onions, dried up tops and squishy bulbs, so unusable. I’ve tried getting them replaced. I was told three weeks ago that they were being picked on Monday (3 wks ago) and then shipped to me. I call every Monday and hear different lies each time but NO ONIONS and NO ONE IN CORPORATE OFFICE WILL CALL ME. Let’s face it, HOW DIFFICULT IS IT TO REACH OUT TO A CUSTOMER BY PHONE! Might take 3 minutes! You most likely will hear a disgruntled customer but HEY….shouldn’t you be concern? Apparently NO ONE AT BURPEE CARES! Just send them your hard earned money!

SO BUYER BE AWARE THAT BURPEE HAS NO CONSIDERATION FOR CUSTOMERS AND NOT A SHRED OF ETHICS! So the onion set was over $30 and not even a refund. BURPEE SHOULD BE ASHAMED BUT THEY’RE NOT! Seems like both false advertising and fraud, oh … I’m sure they’re “on the truck and out for delivery” wherever they are!

I would not recommend buying live plants from this place and having them shipped to you. Your plants will arrive dead, or nearly dead, and, the soil will be all spilled out all over the place.

Recieved the rest of my order yesterday. The plants are pathetic looking, I will be surprised if they thrive. They are small dried & spindly looking like they hadn't matured in the greenhouse enough & weren't ready to ship. Its the last time I order from them.

I received my plants yesterday and this is how they came in. I am shocked that someone packaged these up and thought this is what I was paying for. This didn't happen during shipping. It takes a lot longer for this bad health to occur. I sent an email with pictures asking for a refund. We will see. I do not think I will go back either way. And by the reviews, I am not alone. I do not think this is the company it used to be. sad but true. I am editing my review to reflect the current information. They have processed a refund and apologized. That is all I can ask for at this point. I added an extra star for the quick follow up
