Sometimes, it's a great place to shop... you never know who will help u in need inside. I had forgotten my card, and a nice lady paid for my lunch while on my lunch break. It may have only been 7 bucks she paid for, but to me, that's a lot, and I felt warm and grateful inside. Thank you so much, and bless our troops

This AAFES facility is inadequate for the population and will be very inadequate with the soon to increase population. The 3 Bears being built just outside the Base will be a good relief for the Airman and their families, but I think will pull even more business from AAFES. AAFES needs to modernize to keep up with businesses today.

This is specifically in regards to Stripes alterations. When they measured my sleeves to take them up, the cuff did NOT overlap on the pen slots. I just got it back, went to move all my patches & pens over, & half of the pen slot has been removed. This was not shown to me beforehand nor was it communicated to me that they would do this. This costed me $46!!!! I’m extremely upset. I will be taking it back so hopefully they can fix it. If not, that’s $46 gone that could have been well spent on something else.

With no decent mall within 500+ miles, this is the place to go for name-brand toiletries and clothes. The shoe selection is small, but Alaska's shoe game is also the worst ever, so keep your expectations reasonable.

For a place like Eielson, they try their damnedest to make things great.
Often times out of specific things for your uniform.
Gun counter employees have always been great.
If you are comparing this store to a bigger base, you’re going to have your expectations not met. But if you’re realizing you’re in no where Alaska and at Eielson, you should be surprised or happy with how much they actually carry. Or just shop online.

So here's the deal. Very good service with a smile. The down side, the Army has shoppette's in the lower 48 that is bigger that Eielson BX. This is not the store where you go clothing shopping. Great for daily needs at best.
