I'm going to rate them 2 stars for one reason. My father passed away unexpectedly at the end of September. He was hospitalized at the beginning of the woodys id course. I missed both that and the master gardener programs. I understand that what I paid for programs are deposits, but to not even offer refunds in the case of an immediate death in the family is utterly reprehensible. I'm disappointed to even hold membership.

Stopped by to pick up a new membership as part of their Valentine's Day special. Staff were wonderful and knowledgeable to deal with. The house has sample gardens in the summer to help showcase various gardening techniques in Calgary. Parking was easy as they have a lot right out front (although it is on a bit of a hill). Easy access right off of Macleod Trail with a controlled intersection on the cross road. As for member benefits, they have information sessions, discounts, and local members open up their gardens to visit on certain weekends in the summer.

I went down to re-join Calgary Horticultural Society and when I arrived everything was ready for me to pick up and I was given some extra helpful information along with the last 2 months of their magazine❣️ The lady in the office was so welcoming and helpful! I’m happy I decided to re-join.

Annual member plant share is a great chance to bring plants you no longer need, and get tickets, to take new plants away. If you don't have plants to share, you can wait till the sharing part is over and then buy from the remaining plants. Everyone is very knowledgeable and happy to share their knowledge.

Love it. They teach all sorts of classes and have a great demonstration garden. If you like good deals on plants and meeting people who share gardening interests, become a member! The plant shares especially are fantastic, friendly and inexpensive.
