This park is nice is beautiful especially during the cherry blossom season. When it fully blooms, the scenery is absolutely beautiful.
There are lots of street parking available on the way, especially at Lansdowne Drive.

Absolutely gorgeous place! Went for my friend's birthday aswell as the Sakura Festival & cosplay event and had a wonderful time. Well maintained and beautiful, just kind of hard to get to but I attribute that to the festival traffic and the GPS being wonky. Being next to the Please Touch Museum is a big plus aswell!

Not sure how many trees have been cut down here, but a great many. Parts of the arboretum now feature a direct view of I-76. On the plus side, the paths are clearer.

The state of the some of the statues is poor. In particular, the Verdi monument is falling apart due to lack of maintainence.

The Centennial Arboretum, a 27-acre oasis, is located at the Horticulture Center within Fairmount Park in Philadelphia. It’s a place of natural beauty and historical significance, open daily to the public without charge. The arboretum boasts a rich collection of specimen trees and shrubs from Asia, Europe, and North America, many of which were planted back in 1876 for the American Centennial Exposition. Notably, the arboretum is also home to the Shofuso Japanese House and Garden, a traditional-style Japanese house brought to Philadelphia in 1957, and it serves as the location for the Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival of Greater Philadelphia, a celebration of spring and Japanese culture.

The best time of the year to visit is during the spring bloom on a week day.

Centennial Arboretum is a fun place to spend a few hours. Great and magnificent trees. Some of the trees would benefit from a good pruning and there were a few dead or heavily diseased trees that need to be removed.

We were excited to see so many beautiful dawn redwood trees, Japanese maples huge London plane trees.

Many more tree ID tags would have been greatly appreciated. We only saw a few during our walk.

One of the nicest gardens in Philadelphia. The peak cherry blossom bloom is an immersive experience that can't be missed. Close by is the Shofuso Japenses house. There are a variety of trees that will captivate the imagination and serve as a perfect back drop for photos.
