I was doing a kitchen sink drain repair and needed some parts. Went to my go to store - City Mill, Mililani location and arrived at 5:52pm (they close at 6:00pm.) This was on Sunday, January 26th. I would've been in & out in 5 minutes assuming no customer lines.

To my chagrin, the lights were out and the scissors gates were locked - and nobody was there? Google said they closed at 6:00pm, so I went with that.

My first thought was there was a power outage, but neighboring businesses had power. My guess is they did not have any business and decided to close early. I'm not sure exactly what time they closed. Fortunately, Lowe's Waikele closes at 9:00pm on Sunday so I went there to get what I needed. I felt like I was cheating on City Mill... lol.

In the end, I'll likely continue going to City Mill as the customer service is next level outstanding. But just wondering why they closed early?

As a alumni of the City Mill family, I have to give the best thanks to Aser and Evile. I had to call with questions regarding how to get rid of bed bugs. Only one of our rooms got hit and I figured I'd have to bomb the whole room, but was unsure of the instructions regarding a pilot light, since the infestation was upstairs and away from that.

Aser wasn't sure how to answer, which was fine, because it was a very weird question that I know probably isn't asked a lot. He got Evile on the phone and after a brief catch up, he told me I would not have to bomb the room and that I could just use spray 🙂 we did end up having to call an exterminator after all but still.

I worked at Mililani for close to 5 years before moving to the Honolulu store as an Office Clerk. I learned SO much from everyone and I am so grateful that even though I'm all the way in Ohio, I can still call my old coworkers when I have a question.

I'm not sure if anyone checks these, but I sincerely hope that someone sees this and passes it along to the best City Mill store!!! (jk, every store is great! I'm just partial to this one bc it was my home away from home for so long!!)

Mahalo to Roy A, Mililani store who took the time to expertly cut the custom keys manually due to its style. Tried computer cut keys at the Big HD store and keys didn't work. Very courteous, professional and pleasant to include technically proficient!

Poor customer service! Looking for small screws to complete home project. 3 PM Friday. Literally, no employee to be found on store floor. Went to cashier and requested assistance .Waited for 10 minutes no one came. They obviously need more employees.

Absolutely LOVE this store! Everyone working there is professional, courteous, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. And all that coupled with fantastic customer service both before, and more importantly, AFTER the sale. Returns? No problem....even after I lost the receipt! These people actually KNOW something about what they stock on the shelves. I think most of them might be retired contractors or have worked in the trades. You might pay a little bit more that Big Orange or Big Blue, but for me, City Mill Mililani is the hardware and home improvement store I have come to know and trust. Thank You City Mill !

Follow up on the above review. I've noticed the prices skyrocketing in this store. I like the location and service, but $89 bucks for an extension cord? Yikes. I had second thoughts and returned it. Found a replacement on Amazon, same length, same electrical load rating, etc., for $39 dollars, delivered to my door. I know COVID screwed up everything out here in Hawaii with shipping and all, but it's forcing me to look, (and shop) elsewhere.

City Mill Mililani has excellent service. I was looking for a key for the chuck on a drill did not find it. I shopped in another area of the store, then told an employee I couldn't find it and he radio and said someone will come to help me. He directed me to aisle 27 and said someone will come to help help. I returned to the same aisle where I once search for the item. In a short while someone came by to help me . The second time assisted by an employee we found the key. Apparently a week ago the employee told me they had none in stock so I'm very pleased they have it today. It was very efficient service.
