Visited the ranch during @PlacerGROWN farm and barn tour '19. A wonderful ranch with views to match. Great meats and really tasty treats. A highlight, besides the view, was taking home Ms. Harper's Homemade Kitchen, peach blueberry crisp. Great hosts made us feel right at home.

Coffee Pot's meat is some of the best I have ever had. We regularly attend our local farmers market and buy pork, lamb, and especially beef (mmm, steak…) from Bob. The meat is tender and tasty, and having visited his ranch I trust his farming practices. Cows are free range on a few hundred acres, grass-fed, and grass-finished. The pigs are in very roomy pens with access to the outside all the time. No gestation crates for Bob's sows! The sheep graze at the entrance to the farm and are moved every now and then. The chickens peck around a barn and some fields well isolated from Bob's dozen or so cats—who would very much like to be in there with the chicks, of course!

Bob is super friendly, incredibly open about his practices, and works with us to make sure we get the cuts and parts we want. His prices are quite reasonable ($5-10/lb) considering that everything is organic, free-range, and sustainably farmed. I'm happy to support his farming, and encourage others to do so as well!
