We knew a little bit about regenerative farming going into this but that’s not necessary to thoroughly enjoy this experience.
The farm is lovely! All the amazing plants and trees in the garden make for a beautiful environment to walk through and learn about. We came early and walked to the stone dam. Some people were prepared and took a dip in the water.
The tour guide was very engaging. We thoroughly enjoyed the 45 minute presentation. He came over during dinner and talked to everyone from the tour. The food was excellent! I want the recipe for the braised greens - they were that good! I also did some shopping at their market.
We are already talking about coming back on our next visit.

My husband and I had the most incredible experience at Common Ground in Kauai! It was eye-opening to learn that 90% of the island’s food is imported, which makes what they’re doing here so special. Everything they serve is grown locally, right on their land.

We started with a fascinating tour of their lush gardens, where we learned about unique crops like breadfruit and their sustainable farming practices. Afterward, we browsed a wonderful selection of goods from local merchants, which added such a special touch to the experience.

The highlight of the visit was the dinner—absolutely delicious! The grass-fed local beef was perfectly cooked, and every bite showcased the fresh, vibrant flavors of their locally grown produce.

This place isn’t just a meal; it’s a journey into sustainability, community, and the beauty of Kauai. I left feeling inspired and with a deeper appreciation for local food systems. Highly recommend visiting if you’re on the island!

What an incredible experience and the perfect way to end our vacation in Kauai! We loved every second of the Common Ground experience and were moved by their passion for the work they do.
Don’t even get me started on the meal. Simply incredible!!!
This experience is worth every penny. Be sure to arrive early to visit the Stone Dam. Wear shoes that you’re okay getting a bit muddy. Ask questions. Learn lots. And return home inspired.

Great experience! We learned a lot about regenerative farming and we were impressed with what this place has done in the past few years! The food they served was all grown at their farm or sourced locally. It was so delicious! I can't wait to see this farm grow and help decrease the amount of food that is imported into Hawaii.

Fun to learn about regenerative farming but the highlight was the meal all locally sourced ingredients. Alas no chocolate dessert - I was hoping for locally sourced chocolate that we had seen at another farm. But sorbet was good !

I was so excited to visit common ground. My background is teaching young children where their food comes from and why it is important. My experience there was amazing! Sophie, our guide was very knowledgeable and answered everyone’s questions. I learned a lot . The dinner afterwards was amazing. My favorite was the mango sorbet. I will go back again!

This was a wonderful experience, to see the a farm in action. Roe was our guide, she was knowledgeable and shared so many little tid bits about a variety of plants I had never seen before. The farm is in harmony, literally- the soil sings! And to top off the experience we enjoyed a beautiful Hawaiian meal made right from the food forest we toured!
