The vibrant array of blossoms creates a truly stunning and serene atmosphere, perfect for a peaceful stroll or a family outing. I recently visited this park and was thoroughly impressed. It’s a fantastic place for families, especially those with children. The park is designed with kids in mind, offering plenty of activities and spaces for them to play and explore. Additionally, it’s dog-friendly, so you can enjoy a day out with your furry friends. There’s a designated BBQ area, making it perfect for family picnics. The park is well-maintained, with clean restrooms and drinking fountains conveniently located throughout. The hiking trails are well-marked and easy to navigate, even with young children. Overall, it’s a perfect spot for a day of fun and relaxation!

Coming from Oregon where our gardens are spectacular even when left to the wilds and not manicured, this was a hot dusty dry mostly dead hillside with some sexually suggestive cactus. I would not consider this a botanic garden nor worth the visit ... couldn't appreciate the botanic side and the walking was steep uneven terrain and uninspiring.
Not recommended.

The Conejo Valley Botanic Garden is a Nature escape hidden in plain sight. It is nestled in the rolling hills beside The Oaks Mall & connected to the Dover Hendrix Park. A getaway without going too far!

We had a wonderful visit strolling through the garden pathways. It is fun to see what is growing in season. There are native plants, imported plants, flowers & herbs from many regions around the world. The plants are marked with name, origin & history. There is a garden to attract butterflies, a kids discovery playground garden.

Free plentiful parking, free admission. Large picnic table area, public bathrooms available. Pack a lunch…Great place for family of all ages to enjoy the day. Pitch in as a Volunteer &/or donations are welcomed.

Lots of natural paths…Great place to bike & hike. Close to highway & major roads getting in & out of area easily.

Great care taken in the maintenance of grounds. Everything is so colorful and lots of benches to relax at to enjoy atmosphere. Main hiking trail meanders along a creek and is mostly shaded because it's canopied by oak trees.

Great site for a peaceful afternoon walk. Nice views of the region from the hilltop, including the Santa Monica Mountains to the south, the Los Padres National Forest in the distant north, and Wildwood and Tarantula Hill to the west. Lots of species of flowers, trees, and other plants, including a cactus garden. You may catch a sight of a shy coyote in the bushes, a lizard sunning itself on a rock, or butterflies practicing their aerobatics. Shady benches for relaxing contemplation abound. Entry is free, and free parking and good bathrooms are at the base. You can also stroll around grassy Dover & Hendrix park, which is next door. Just a 3 minute drive from the Oaks Mall, the Garden is Conejo Valley's secret gem!
