Had an amazing experience here! Was my first time visiting and the staff were so friendly! They helped me pick out suggestions and super patient with me. I ordered the baked turkey wings with two sides. Turkey wings were super juicy collard green not too salty cabbage was delicious and the cornbread alone was delicious! I’ll definitely be back soon!

Hands down, one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment I walked in, Jamirah—my hostess—made me feel genuinely welcomed, like I was visiting family. Her energy set the tone for the whole visit.

I had the fried catfish, mac and cheese, candied yams, peach cobbler, and a sweet tea—and every single bite felt like comfort on a plate. The catfish was perfectly crispy, the mac was rich and cheesy, the yams had the perfect balance of sweetness, and that peach cobbler? Pure fire!

There’s something special about this place—it’s more than just good food. It’s the hospitality, the warmth, the vibe. You can feel the care in everything they do. I’ll absolutely be coming back the next time I’m in town. Highly, highly recommend.

I had the pleasure of dining at Cornbread of Maplewood this afternoon , and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with soft lighting and a cozy, modern decor that makes you feel right at home.

The service was exceptional. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, and made great recommendations from the menu.

By the way, the catfish is delectable!

Overall very good experience. The hot n bbq wings were delicious and so was the catfish. The Mac n cheese was not a favorite but the cornbread and cabbage was good. Great service by Jamerah.

Had a really good dinner and loved supporting this business.. the food was great We had the turkey wings fried chicken collards greens Mac and Cheese and yams. All was tasty and the portions were good.. we also had peach cobbler yummy and Southern twang which all was good and not too sweet.. Abagail and RJ were exceptional.. both were welcoming and very helpful.. will surly come back

Just renovated, addition of electronic checkout system, and reward program. Food always been delicious. No matter what you ordered. They have oxtails now too. I got Mac and cheese, cabbage, fried chicken, and cornbread . I just moved to Maryland and came back to visit NJ and it was the first stop on my list. Must go!
