Two trucks ahead of me at 0800. They were both empty by 0845. After 2 more hours of waiting for them to assign me a dock (they were all empty), another driver that just came in got dock and unloaded in half hour. 5 hours later no dock still. FYI… no trucks permitted until 0715 but there is a dirt lot outside guard-shack where you can park overnight and/or drop trailers. The parking is the only reason they got one star

Poor Treatment of Drivers at Silver Spring Citrus

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Silver Spring Citrus. I arrived at 9am this morning and it's now 6pm - a whopping 9 hours later - and I still haven't been assigned a dock. The lack of consideration for drivers' time is appalling.

To make matters worse, the staff uses vulgar language when communicating with drivers. It's unprofessional and disrespectful.

My advice to fellow drivers: avoid taking loads to this receiver if possible. If you do, make sure to pack enough food and supplies for at least 24 hours, as you never know how long you'll be held up.

Silver Spring Citrus needs to improve its treatment of drivers and streamline its operations to avoid wasting our time.

Can I just say this is by far the worst place I have been. Guard was nice but I guess he is the only one who is nice on this property. Thanks god I got here when it’s not raining cause forget it if it was pouring rain. I would’ve not even been able to drive here or park in there staging area. Here some beautiful photos hope u like it. Please avoid this place.

Pros: If you are here super early like I am…See the photos. Take a stroll down to Griffin Park. For readers there is a Library.Make the best of it.

Cons: I think they need help. Short Staffed.

My story: 08/03/22 @15:50 Empty.
08/04 @ 08:30 Arrived early for 19:30 pick up. Told to come back @ 18:00. Strolled down to Griffin Park. 18:52 checked in. Several trucks 🛻 in front of me. Went in sleeper. 08/05 @ 06:30 Shipper calls, Load canceled. Something about staffing and inventory! TRUCK’n!

Let tell you my experience. I was late like 40 minutes for my appointment and I have to wait extra 8 hours to get loaded. But it's their policy. You have to be on time or you have to wait. Hopefully that helps planning ahead. Once you get a door usually you are out within an hour.

Easy to find. FCFS. Once in dock, fast loading. Open doors, slide tandems and when they are done, they come out with papers and seal.

AM appointment was in a door by 7:55 AM. Loaded with paperwork in hand and leaving at 10:32 AM. No complaints here.
