I would like to say I am really impressed with Cox Cactus Farm. They found what we were looking for which was a chore in itself. My sales person was Ashley Peterson on a large order that needed to be shipped out of state. Since I live out of state Ashley sent me pictures of the cactus we ordered, set up shipping and actually inspected the order before and after it was loaded in the truck. The shipper Carlos ended up being a family member of one of the employees at the farm and was great as well. He was on time and very accommodating to our schedule. Our order showed up looking exactly like what Ashley said it would and matched the pictures she sent me. I would highly recommend working with Ashley and Cox Cactus Farm.

Cox cactus is the BEST!!! They are THE place to go for all your cactus and plant needs. I won't go anywhere else. They go way above and beyond any other wholesale nursery in town. When ever I go in there is always something new and exciting to see. Plants are high quality. The sales people are fun and amazing. I can call and check availability and they are always honest if something isn't looking good. I always leave with a smile on my face.

Heads up they are wholesale so you can only buy from them if you are a landscaper. They don't sell retail.

Cox Cactus Farm always has a nice supply of plants Cactus and euphorbias. I can always find what I need there and more. The office staff is always very friendly responsive and knowledgeable. Frank and Cody are very welcoming in the office and if I call and they're busy, I don't even have to leave a message. They call me back very quickly after seeing my call. They always welcome me into the office and are very responsive to my needs! They have fresh coffee in the morning and even a bowl of chocolates, much to my detriment, that they share with their patrons.

I prefer to buy my plants at another nursery .

The plants are the same, but prices are better and they don’t spew their hateful political views when I didn’t ask for them. They’re unprofessional, unhelpful and vindictive.

My suggestion would be to stick to what you’re (semi)good at and sell plants lest you bleed customers more than you already are.

My landscaper expressly arranged with the owner for my wife and I to pick out plants we need for a very large property we recently purchased and then our landscaper would buy them. When we got there we were told that our landscaper needed to be present to look at anything. And the people at Cox spoke to us in a disrespectful manner. Talk about stupid. We went to another nursery and were treated with respect and found what we needed.

Great plant selection no doubt (at least the visible part of the plant), and a pseudo friendly customer service that overemphasizes capabilities. In my experience, there has never been an order where every plant on the list was delivered or the correct plants delivered. Also there's always a certain percentage of damaged plants, some even arrive outside the bucket. They rarely take responsibility; if they forget plants in your order, they refuse to deliver the plants and expect you to pick them up or pay for another delivery. They also say they have plants they actually don't (they think they will find him through brokerage, but that doesn't always work out).
The very last order I placed, which was part of a second, almost $9,000 order, was the last of many they got wrong in more than one way. I was supposed to check the order before it was loaded into the delivery truck, and they never called me. Again, another order delivered incomplete, wrong, etc. They do not respect that contractors are on site with workers ready to go when plants arrive. It's a lot of wasted money in labor. Whether this happens because the nursery laborers do not know the plants, or management is not checking the orders, I don't know.
One last thing... Often, the roots of plants are barely grown for the container size they are in, or rootbound. They sell things as one size and you get another, etc. They don't provide refunds but only credit, and they inbed your credit in orders without telling the customer.

UPDATE:
Instead of Cox Cactus attempting to correct their business model due to this a review, they have chosen to stop selling plants to me and my contractors, leaving a large order partially fulfilled. I suspected this would happen given the ethics they follow. There are MANY people aware of their unprofessional and unethical business practices who will not speak up, afraid of the retaliation; I'm glad I did.
