A place that is actually high quality to take your friends and family to experience Southern food. The chicken fried steak is so tender that you could cut it with a fork. The hush puppies are almost as soft and light as beignets . The fried okra is the best I have ever had besides my grandmother's. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The chef/ owner is kind soul who genuinely wants you have an amazing experience. So this place is basically undiscovered. With that being said go now before the place gets crowded and you can't get a seat!

Hubby and I went to Delta Grocery for lunch last week. We both ordered the half dozen shrimp (fried), black-eyed peas and house salad for sides. We requested Come Back sauce and Cocktail sauce, both delicious. Salad was very fresh and the (buttermilk ranch) dressing is made on premise, as are all sauces/dressings we were informed. We also shared the blueberry bread pudding for dessert - wow. Our waiter Addison couldn't have been more helpful, professional and explained all that Delta Grocery has to offer. There are so many great restaurants in this area, it is hard to visit them all, much less finding one you visit regularly, but we will be back for happy hour and other meals as this may become one of our favorite spots. I would highly recommend this place for a delicious home made meal and relaxing atmosphere. The employees really care about the restaurant and it shows. Give it a try.

Wow!! I tried Delta Grocery with my family for the very first time and it was so good. I get BBQ shrimp everywhere I go and my
husnand is from New Orleans so we are rather picky on BBQ shrimp. Their BBQ shrimp was SO good!!! So was PoBoy. We were impressed how delicious they were!! This has become one of my favorite restaurant now. We will definitely be back!!!

Excellent food. Prime rib was truly a Prime cut of beef. Tender and flavorful. The fried apple chicken sandwich was over the top! 3cheese Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. The margaritas were made from scratch and did not have that imitation taste
Onion rings were lightly breaded and were spot on. Candy and her husband (owners) were very attentive and made you feel
Welcome. The restaurant was clean as well as the restrooms.
My only suggestion is that the crab cakes were overcooked and somewhat dry. But overall a solid 5 rating. I will return !!

My husband and I visited this lovely restaurant last weekend and were pleased with everything we tried. The seafood gumbo was some of the best I have ever had. So many good choices that we over ordered just to be able to sample lots of items. Definitely will go and worth the hike from Spanish Fort.

To the owner of Delta Grocery.
I recently booked a reservation for a local Dining Out group at your restaurant. I did not sign a contract and I did not guarantee a certain number of guests. I kept you updated on the number of guests and meal choices as a courtesy. I would never expect you to cook meals before our arrival. You even had a menu for each person with the meal options placed on the tables. You took orders at the table. I advised the waitress that we had 2 people cancel that afternoon due to the flu.
How rude of you to bring out 3 boxes of leftover meals and present me with the bill. You charged me for the 2 cancellations and you said one person changed their order so you charged a full price for that. You said “I can’t afford to eat the cost”.
In my experience as a business owner, this is no way to promote a business and expect repeat customers.
You have lost my business and I will share my experience with others so they will know in advance how you treat groups.

Tried Delta Grocery’s Sunday buffet today…it was fantastic! Southern favorites like fried chicken, shrimp & grits, grits & grillades, corn casserole, hash brown casserole, black eyed peas, salad and much more. And…finished off with the best Blueberry White chocolate bread pudding!
$5 Mimosas & Bloody Mary’s. I highly recommend if you like delicious paired with a laid back truly Southern atmosphere.

Such a hidden gem. The food is out of this world. The staff are friendly and do an amazing job.

Every Saturday they do crawfish boils and on Sundays a buffet that's so good you would think you were in your grandmother's kitchen on a Sunday after church.

This is a MUST
