Desert Foothills Gardens Nursery is a large open nursery along Cave Creek road and just south of Carefree highway. Walking through the boulders and basalt towers is a kind of meditative experience. Nurseries are one of my happy spots. I could just walk through them all day.

I've bought outdoor plants and shrubs here. I've picked up fun fairy garden items for my kids. I've daydreamed of new landscaping with some of their pottery and fountains. It's a great nursery to browse.

Nice staff, lots of variety. I only wish we had had more time here to look around and see everything. There's something about those little cacti though, they are all so cute.

Beautiful nursery with a wide selection of cacti. Different sizes available. Wish they had a little larger indoor friendly selection, but lots of outdoor variety.

Beautiful place. So many cool things to look at. Some very unusual. It was hard to find help. But it is a huge place. Very pricey compared to other nurseries. We found a nice rock for our collection..payed $30.00. $$$. But it is beautiful . ?

The nursery is nice (although not cheap) but you HAVE TO ASK FOR JARRED. He is insanely knowledgeable…like a whole other level. Friendly, smart, helpful, a good design eye. Jarred is what makes this place.

This is the place to go if you are looking for native plants. Such better selection than the other nurseries in Phoenix. Staff was helpful, prices were great on shrubs (cacti were more expensive than average in my opinion) and they had plenty of small young sizes to choose if you're on a budget. One of the only places in the valley with reliable milkweed.
