This is not a typical distillery! So much more. The atmosphere, the spirits and most importantly, the employees! Our tour guide Suzanne was so knowledgeable and interesting and fun! The tasting too is amazing. And before the tour we had drinks and Jaeden our server was delightful!!! We will definitely go back soon.

In August, I planned an impromptu surprise birthday party for my sister. Jessica was extremely helpful and responsive as I planned everything via email. The food and cocktails were impeccable, our server (I forgot his name) was extremely attentive, and the room was stunning. I will be using them for hosting future events or to have a cocktail or two!

This place is incredible. Every member of the staff is so kind and welcoming, MJ is hands down one of the most talented bartenders I've ever met, the layout/atmosphere is arguably the best in all of Birmingham as well. Hands down the greatest date night spot!

This was the most great experience we could have had in Birmingham Al. Our serve, Jaeden, was extremely special. Look for Keese for any questions you have about the distillery and their amazing drinks. And you have to order a MVP and the truffle fries!

I came here with coworkers. Glad I did. Food was on point. The burger was cooked right, the papa rellenos was good and the truffle fries too. How can you mess up truffle fries? The staff (Hannah) was sweet and attentive. She was nice enough to explain that in Alabama a distillery must make all their spirits and syrups. They can't serve another brand. Dread River has a nice selection. I'll post a pic. When I mention I was a rum guy,... "We have that too."
Since I ordered their beer and shot combo. Hannah created me a shot that was delicious. The combo comes with the understanding that the shot is a surprise. White rum, banana syrup and cold brew. Yes. Thank you. The venue has a nice comfy, but classy design and feel. They have several rooms with that velvet couch and fireplace feel for special events. We didn't wait long for the food by the way. It's worth a try alone or with friends who want to sit back and chat.

Amazing! I have been to quite a few distilleries/distilleries tours and I always find it interesting how each one has their own unique story! I was not disappointed at any point during my time at Dread River. The drinks, the tour and the food were all top service! Plus the atmosphere is comfortable and appealing!

Service was actually amazing, everyone had a great attitude. Definitely recommend the spirit flight where you get 7 of their spirits to sample. Their vodka is unbelievably smooth and I am not a vodka person whatsoever. Every other spirit was delicious and well crafted.

Prices are perfectly balanced on everything on the menu.

The whiskey burger is delicious and the bottom bun was not soggy. I literally never have had a burger that doesn’t have a soggy bottom. Dread river got it right.

I can’t wait for the blackstrap rum and the single barrel bourbon to come back.

There’s so much space and it doesn’t feel cluttered or stuffy which I enjoyed heavily.
