A hidden gem in Occoquan! My sister and I decided to try D'Rocco's Restaurant in Occoquan yesterday, which did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was fantastic—friendly and attentive.

We ordered the eggs benedict, and it was cooked to absolute perfection. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. It was a bit early for us to dive into the dinner menu, but we took a peek and were seriously impressed—so many mouthwatering options and the specials sounded incredible. We’re already planning our next visit to try more!

If you're in the area and looking for a spot with delicious food and great service, D'Rocco's is a must-visit!

Excellent dining experience in a cozy, intimate setup. D'Rocco's has a rich history, starting in the 1800s. One of the owners who was very kind, Dave, took his time to show me some parts of this restaurant, including the fireplace in the picture, that are still in their original state well over 200 years later! Phenomenal if you are a history lover. The food was very good too, I tried the Octopus, which came in a sizzling platter. All in all, it was a 5 star experience. Will definitely be back!

First time in since new ownership. Food was amazing. Nicely plated and served promptly. Love restaurants that will split plates in the kitchen for my parents. We enjoyed chatting with the wait staff and everyone was pleasant. Few of the walls seemed bare, but it appears they are making improvements. Will definitely go back!

My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous dinner today. We have not been in years but kept watching the reviews after the new owners took over in Nov. We were a bit concerned at first when we walked in along with a party of 14 and several smaller parties, but it was all hands on deck and Yun, our server, (also evidently part of the ownership team) was wonderful and timing of food delivery was excellent. The calamari was cooked perfectly with a light coating and tender enough to cut with a fork! The lasagna was wonderful and the star of dinner for me was the octopus with fingerling potatoes with chimichurri. AMAZING! I’m an octopus junkie! Tiramisu was lovely, not the traditional type with layers but we loved it and will certainly order again. Check D’Roccos out if you haven’t been since before November. Kudos to the chef, Yun and every staff member we interacted a bit with. Wish I’d taken more photos but got the Octopus! It was a lot of food, this is less than half. My photo doesn’t do it justice.

I went with a big party and everyone gave the restaurant a 3 to 4 star rating. I decided to just rate off my experience since I can’t give a 3.5. The service was excellent and my food was good. I don’t think the price point for the food was worth the flavors that I got. I don’t think I would go again on my own but if someone wanted to try it, I would just get completely different things. Try for yourself and see what you think.

Great food. This was my second time since new management. The first time was with colleagues from work. I had the short rib special. The food was so good we bought a drink for the chef. He came out and had the drink with us! This time I brought the family for brunch. It was excellent. Will definitely be back.

Jewel of Occoquan. Simple menu with great drinks delicious sauces and wonderful Italian food. Under new management since October, so if you had been here before then come back and try it with a new outlook. Here with my daughter tonight and one bite into her chicken piccata Parmesan. She said “who comes up with this stuff!”

With the chicken Parmesan and enjoy a good glass of wine or a Joe-Groni - An interesting mix of a Negroni and Amaro

Don’t miss the freshly made pesto with fresh basil, pine nuts and basil for the bread.

Added the tiramisu for an added bonus. Not an authentic cut tirmisu but had great ingredients, fresh marscoponi and coffee liqueur soaked lady fingers inside - delicious
