Dulce De Leche Bakery is one of my favorite spots! For my birthday, I picked up their 8” Dulce De Leche Chantilly cake, and it was absolutely incredible. The rich flavors in every bite were unforgettable, and the texture was just perfect—dense enough to be satisfying but still light and fluffy. It was honestly one of the best cakes I’ve ever had.

Even though the bakery was busy when I visited, the staff was friendly and efficient, so I didn’t have to wait long. Their small pastries are just as amazing—everything I’ve tried has been mouthwateringly good.

I also decided to grab one of their salads, and while it was a little pricey, it didn’t disappoint. It was super fresh and packed with flavor. The mix of cherry tomatoes, walnuts, dried cranberries, crisp greens, tofu, and avocado was perfectly balanced, and the dressing added just the right amount of richness without overpowering anything.

Bonus: ♿️ Accessibility is no issue here as it’s located on the ground floor, making it easy for everyone to enter and exit the store.

Parking 🚖: Street parking is available, but it’s metered. Finding a spot can be a headache, especially on weekends.

Whether you’re looking for an indulgent treat or something lighter, Dulce De Leche Bakery has it all. The quality of their food and the welcoming atmosphere make it a place I’ll keep coming back to again and again!

I happened to be in the area on a Sunday morning and chanced upon this wonderful bakery. The empanadas were soft and perfectly flaky (one of the best I've had in recent times). The croissant was amazing too. Would love to be back for more!

I've been a customer of Dulce De Leche Bakery for over 15 years. Hands down, this place has the best desserts and cakes in Jersey City! My absolute all-time favorites are carrot cake and chocolate-dipped churros. If you have a chance, try their empanadas. I like how in recent years they added salads, so there's always something for those without a sweet tooth. February 8th, 2025 update: beef empanadas are the best! Get them warmed up.

This is one of those places where I walk in and say “Take my money!” 😅 - Honestly this is the BEST bakery ever. The staff is kind and always pleasant. When it’s busy, they move the line quickly. The hot food is great quality, the coffee is great quality. The fruit juice is cold pressed when you order. And last but not least…the pastries are to die for!!! They have a large selection of pastries, cakes, cake slices, tarts and more…this is my weak spot. This bakery is exceptional in every way.

We had the coconut mousse cake. It was beautiful to look at but somewhat average in terms of taste. If you are used to buttery, light and decadent French cakes (or Korean versions of French cakes), the coconut mousse cake does not make the cut. Will update this review if I try more on their menu.

The bakery has a friendly warm vibe. It was bustling with a lunch crowd and folks picking up their birthday cakes. The line moves quickly so you will need to make up your mind fast.

I really enjoy the food here. Unfortunately, I’ve only had negative experiences with the service. Today, I walked in and was ready to place my order once I got in line. When I was next in line (& there was no one waiting behind me) I approached the front desk, but the two workers in front of me seemed very busy handling other orders and I didn’t want to bother them. I noticed another worker on their way, but they completely ignored/walked right past me and proceeded to reorganize some of the display cakes/sweets. I also saw another worker chatting with another customer (who was not ordering) so I didn’t want to disturb her either since their conversation went on for several minutes. I felt sidelined & awkwardly waited for any of the workers to acknowledge me for 5 minutes straight. I was feeling embarrassed & due to social anxiety, I froze up as I saw other customers being served & fully engaging with the other workers I previously thought were just too busy to talk to me. Then, (after a full 5 minutes of just standing in front of the cashier’s desk) I was finally acknowledged by one of the workers & I informed them I was ready to order, but they simply just told me to go back to the end of the line in a certain tone that made me believe they were annoyed by me. I felt way too humiliated to inform them that I just came from the line 5 minutes ago & have been waiting right in front of them all that time, but I couldn’t get past how embarrassed I was. I felt totally ignored & probably an inconvenience to the workers, so instead I just said okay and immediately walked out of the store. I felt ashamed & deeply disappointed by the service. I was really looking forward to getting something to brighten my day here, but I walked out feeling so ignored & disrespected. The food is amazing & I love getting something here, but I’ve had no luck when visiting in person. I hope to have at least 1 positive experience moving forward.
