my husbands family has been shopping here for decades. the owner is the son of the orig owner. they knew my father in law well and still remember him. we shop there when we are in town for good cuts from a locally owned business. so worth it when you can watch him cut your meat and he is so knowledgeable.

p.s. his salsas are great. he carries other goods you probably need

and the other little secret.... BUY HIS SOUR CREAM!!! He gets it from Mexico directly. there's nothing like it. it's thick, it's tangy. oh man!!

Feb 2024 update.... only a few more good things to say.... we bought meat there for bbq... used their already marinated meat... super tender! and cooked juicy not dry! 🙂

secrets to ask for:

JERKY!! he makes this himself and seems to have some fun with experimenting with flavors...

fish 🙂 yup.... i didn't know either... just asked bc it would save us a trip to a diff store... and yes... they have fish! it's kept in back so you have to ask.

By far best meat market ever my family has been coming here for decades, n now that i have my own family i kept the family tradition, family own meat shop, original owner always smile on his face n now his nephew took over n still great quality as always. known for their chorizo, and i appreciate their dedication n humbleness. from one family to another.
