This farmers market is poppin’!

Vibes:
They’ve got a stage set up for live music and the vibes are so fun and relaxing here. It’s on a cute street with a bunch of small businesses from clothing stores to misc knick knacks.
There’s a bar/restaurant that has open windows and looks nice to chill at and drink with friends while people watching and listening to the live music.

Parking:
We parked in the streets and walked over.

Produce:
Wide variety of fruits and veggies. Not too many organic vendors.

Food:
There were 4 food trucks when we went:
-a crepe truck that sold churros and crepes
-ice cream truck that sold what seemed like everything from tostilocos, shave iced, and mangonadas!
-American food truck that had hot dogs, grilled cheeses sandwiches and more! They had a kale grilled cheese that I’ll have to come to try!

Our favorite elote vendor is here! We are regulars of his when he sells at the Alhambra Farmers Market in Sunday’s. I love me elote but will only have it with roasted corn!! He has a tray set out for you to add your own toppings and seasonings too. Plus! You’ve gotta get an agua fresca- and make it a large! The drinks are soooo refreshing and not too sweet! I ask for extra ice if it’s a hot day

Maintenance
There were so many friendly staff there! They wear city polo shirts so you can go to them to ask any questions. They greeted people as they walked by

The city of El Monte had a stall giving away FREE face masks AND hand sanitizer!!! Awesome thing to do for the community

Props to the people who put this event together because the grounds were clean and everything was organized.
By that I mean, there were MULTIPLE hand washing stations!!!! YAS this needs to be more of a thing, even post-covid! These weren’t small port-a-potty type of sinks either- they were legit commercial sinks lol
I appreciate that they split the aisle into two so everyone has to walk one way. It makes since and people were certainly able to stay socially distant. The grounds were marked with arrows but it was easy to get the vibe since you only see people going one way. The street/aisles are pretty wide too so it doesn’t feel too crowded.

Overall, it makes the Alhambra market on Sundays feel boring! Lol this is a nice farmers market to take your family and friends to chill and hang out with on a cool Thursday night during the summers:)

Come out and support local vendors. They've got several food booths, mostly like tacos, elotes, tamales, pupusas, peanuts, kettle corn, dips and pita. Also agua frescas. Some clothing booths, jewelry, toys, glass cups, Tzu Chi, El Monte Park and Recreation, etc. Wasn't too crowded. I came right at 5. Saw some jumpers at the end. Parking was close by and walked over.
