Honestly it'll be my first time going tomorrow... I am excited to finally get a little something for my pantry because the hurricane took my job and then my savings. I'm writing on here because the 1 star and 2 star reviews are horrendous! How can people really complain about having to wait for something that is free?! Something that people are VOLUNTEERING their time to do?! They don't have to do these things for people... They CHOOSE to outta the goodness of their hearts! Some people are very lost and it is very sad.. there is so much to be grateful for in this case. So I don't care if I have to wait an hour or 2 in no air conditioning I WILL BE GRATEFUL for these services. Thank you ahead of time for all the people that give their time and donate and make this happen. Thank you

An absolutely amazing foodbank.
You can do comunity service, have a great free lunch or grab a variety of free food to give away or to yourself when needed. A one time application is required.

First time at a food pantry.
Wait was 1.5 hours. Very small space with a lot of empty shelves. Only produce was carrots and questionable looking oranges. They did have some canned beans, rice, and good quality bread. I'll try it one more time and get there when they open to see if any better. The people that work/volunteer there were pleasant and helpful.

Be prepared to wait , there is inside seating with ac or heat. With bathroom . Regarding the pantry . One day there may be only a few fresh veg and a few cans of beans . The shelves may be empty. The next visit plenty of fresh produce and canned/ box food . You do not know what u will get from visit to visit . Staff is pleasant and helpful . There may be a different variety of different people from disabled, Elders and kids .
To very abled men , woman . You will see very expensive vehicles parked to nearly poor, junked vehicles.

I would leave 0 stars if I could because this was extremely disheartening. Let me start that I am 9 months pregnant with medical issues including a hernia that makes getting around relatively difficult. I also have 3 children at home and a very hard working husband. We are struggling to have enough to eat, tonight idk how we will find dinner. When I searched online and saw that it says this food bank is open from 5:30pm - 7:30pm I was so happy and hopeful. I showed up, walked around and found no food pantry or anyone to direct me. I finally stumbled across someone sitting at a picnic bench, I asked if there was a food pantry and they very rudely told me that it's done for the day. PLEASE DO NOT ADVERTISE THAT YOU ARE OPEN WHEN YOU ARE NOT. Don't let people be hopeful for help you cannot give them. That's all.
